Cant play with friends?

I keep getting this "Startup error". It's so annoying. I played the beta and it worked fine but now im thinking about refunding it if this wont work. Anyone got any suggestions?

Could you give us a bit more info? When and where are you getting the start up error? When you first load into the game, when you enter a game mode?

If you go here - C:\Users\Username\AppData\LocalLow\Flashbulb\Trailmakers you'll see an output log, if you could send us that to [e-mail] we'll be better equipped to help you. :)

I got the error message while joining my friends sandbox game. Right when i was supposed to load in it gave me the error message.

Okay, cool. Are you able to join other servers? If you host is your friend or other random players able to join? These may sound like stupid questions but it helps us narrow down where the problem is. :)

I can join a couple of people. Not everyone though.

Another friend of mine bought the game and both of us joined his server and it worked fine :D

Hmm. Make sure your friend has allowed the game through his firewall. He may potentially need to open up ports like mentioned in the troubleshooting guide. Another thing to try is connecting directly through IP.

Next time you try and connect, having your output log from the failed attempt would be useful. :)

Do you want the server log from the time it worked to connect? Or the time that it didn't.

I'm having this exact same issue with my friend. Like we can join other people but we literally cannot join eachother. If i join him it doesnt connect. If he joins me he spikes to 4k ping. Is there any way around this ??

Also the game is open to the firewall and is being run as priority so i'm not sure why it wont work. Please help, this game is so fun and we just want to play it together.
