This doesn't make sense for a sandbox mode
I too expect Sandbox mode to mean exactly that, a mode in which you can screw around with everything that' in the game as you see fit. If others are looking for progression, that's fine, and there should be a mode for that, but simultaneously, many of us, myself included, don't need or want to be guided on a path in a creative building type of game.
I like to just jump in, figure out everything as I go and make some cool stuff. I too learned the hard way that Sandbox wasn't Sandbox mode. The cosmetics consist of like half of the pieces in the game, they are equally important to getting something to look the way you want it to. Initially I proceeded and unlocked some things here and there and made do with what I had, but I haven't played yet since the Rally update, but now that I have I've come to learn that my sandbox progress is gone and everythings locked again..... That does not make sense for this kind of mode.
There needs to be a genuine sandbox mode added in ASAP. It wouldn't take much, basically the exact same mode and map, just unlock EVERYTHING for the player(s). I would play MUCH more often if this was in the game.
Absolutely. And there would be another possibility to do this if you don't want to make it too easy to enter sandbox / creative mode you could add this mode as a free dlc (seen in Islet Online) because the ones who really like to get all the stuff unlocked just need to download and the others can unlock their stuff ....
I personally have never even used the cosmetics even though I have them all. I just don't find them necessary to build nice things. For me they're just a nice to have for that one moment in a thousand when I feel like one is suitable.
If you think you're being restricted by not having them don't. They are literally just a +. And I don't think you were here when half of them didn't even exist. Besides due to the new purchasing system if you were to not want to play the rally mode and get them all. You can just get the one that you need on a certain instance.
Also "NOT HAVING TO SPENT COUNTLESS HOURS GRINDING TO UNLOCK THINGS" this was fixed in the new rally update. Now you don't need to spend countless hours to unlock them all. Be happy coz I doubt you know the pain of having to do that in expedition just for that last flag or exhaust.
You don't got the point....
Why then not make a creative mode dlc so everyone would be happy ? For me it doesn't matter if these locked blocks are so called "cosmetics" I WANT EVERYTHING in Sandbox, therefor its called sandbox. I eventually paid for it, if you don't agree then okay nobody will force you to download this dlc or to play this mode, but why do you want to ruin the fun for others who want ALL and this ASAP. You don't like it ?`Okay then leave it....
Just NO !!!, The "cosmetics" in CS:GO are just annoying nobody seriously likes them, thats just moneygrabbing.
WHY ? As I said
Because it will straight up remove any value that they have encouraging people to actually play the game, enter the weekly challenges, report bugs etc.
You can't just walk upto a competition and demand for you to get the trophy because you don't feel like competing.
But I see what kinda gamer you are now and have tried my best at reasoning. So I won't be coming back to this topic again. Just wanted to say my opinion and that there is smaller chance of this happening than for there being SGMs on Mars.
