Dragon Jet in Stranded In Space

How do you get the dragon Jet? Because I have been trying for over an hour, after spending an hour building a quad-copter (that flies and controls very well btw), and every time I get near it and try to pick it up with the magnet, it explodes and I have to restart outside the volcano.

Oh yeah, the heat from the volcano turns my helicopter blades for me, putting me off balance the entire time I am going down, so it's a HUGE pain having to restart outside the volcano every time as I barely have control of it on the way down, not to mention when picking up the exploding core.

Devs, seriously, either make that specific item not explosive, or reduce how sensitive those things are.

Has anyone else gotten this item, and how did you do it?

Regardless. Downright the most frustrating thing in this game mode by far. My change suggestion still stands.

The exploding red scrap explodes if you hit it too hard.

Which usually happens if you pull with the magnet from a distance.
Get close, than magnet, then fly away.

Yes, I am very aware as to how it works, and have collected all of the other items without incident. I am talking about one item in particular, being a ridiculous spot that really only a helicopter can get to. I know the mechanics, I know that it "explodes when you hit it too hard". I think by that point of the game you should assume I would already know that. Maybe tell me how you did it, if you have anything constructive to add?

i got it using the gimble car template fairly easily. i just replaced the tires with a lighter version and added a couple more mini thrusters for better control.

I spent an unnecessary amount of time forming that response so it wouldn't be as rude as I first wrote it.
Yeah. I was just not in a good mood tbh. One of those things where I run my mouth when I believe that there are no consequences, and I recognize that. The reply to my original question just seemed incredibly pointless, to the point where the person that made it shouldn't have even responded to begin with. I just reacted in a negative way after being frustrated, and could have handled that better.

I did explain. In my original post, I explained the whole method and what vehicle I was using. You aren't being constructive either, you don't even own the game... You're just looking for a place to put your words where there are no consequences. Just like I admitted I was doing earlier. Insulting someone's intelligence because you have nothing better to do is kinda pathetic. At least I had reasoning behind my words, instead of a head lacking logic and filled to the brim with hate.

I recommend using a magnet at the end of a piston chain, and use gimbal thrusters.
Me, i used a small buggy with gimbal thrusters on top. Landed next to it, grabbed it, and flew out.

I made a little thing that flew using gimbal jets and mini thrusters. The smaller objects fit underneath the magnet and between my wheels. One problem you may have faced was that when you turn the magnet on when the object is already in its area of effect, it explodes on contact. What I had to do was have my magnet on before I tried to pick it up. I'm glad to hear you figured it out.

[Edit] Sorry, misread. I found that if you have the magnet on, it pulls it in, and the impact detonates it.

I found that you touch the scrap with the magnet, then turn on, No impact. No bang.

I used like a 8x8 square with a magnet under it with wheels on pipes that was 6 up i wanna say, then filled it with thursters on all sides to make sure it was balenced making a rather simple rocket then very carefully flew over to a orb to drop it off. using the wheels as shocks u can actly crash upside down with little chance of it going boom since even if it rolls the pipes will keep the ground from hitting it.

Had fun getting this one out of where it was located without blowing up. used a gimble jet thing from the discord worked great took two tries because it KABOOMED! for no real reason in mid air. But it worked for that one the best tried it with the square gimble car thing but kept bumping into the walls and going boom.
