Those who don't buy the game because of Denuvo
You're very cute and you're missing out.

Denuvo is non-intrusive to customers. It has not caused any issues to any of us who are legitimate. The games that were listed are unoptimized games in general, not a cause of Denuvo. Now sales haven't spiked because of it. Pirates are pirates and most of them won't give a penny over, but some of the minority have caved in and bought the game because they had no other choice.

I know some people personally who refuse to support developers because "Why? I can get the game for free". Hopefully the anti-tamper software becomes more advanced and is used more.

SONIC MANIA - This game's a masterpiece. The soundtrack is out of this world, the visuals are amazing, the gameplay is awesome, the game works very smooth, no controller problems even tho I'm using a cheap gamepad and overall I'm just having a blast. Very good time with this game

P.S. The soundtrack is out of this world...

It's not perfect but it has potential. You can argue, guess, prophesize all you want
It has as much potential as a sandwich does at becoming the U.S. president. DRM is not capable of working, pirates have the internet at their disposal and therefor are not limited in resources. DRM will always fail.

Why tho? It does a pretty good job at shoving away the idiots
The people at Denuvo are the idiots. Pirates see DRM as a challenge, not a barrier. Take a look at Earthbound. If you have a legit cartridge, you wouldn't suspect anything. However, deep in its code is one of the most aggressive anti-piracy measures that could be placed into a game's code. It didn't stop them.

It is a relentless war but what you suggest is to just give up? It at least stops day 1 pirating (except for a few Unity-games exceptions) and that is huge

Anyway, there is always room for progress... Zzz

There is no progress, DRM is completely incapable of preventing piracy. Defending DRM just makes you an idiot for thinking it can work.

Yup, makes absolutely no sense

DRM is at best a speed bump for piracy, delays it for a very small amount of time. Sorry you aren't able to realise how flawed DRM is but slap fights are much easier than thinking amirite?

It's weak. It's getting undermined in a matter of days. I believe the patch was undermined in a matter of hours. I'd recommend leaking a sabotaged version of the game instead with as bait for a nasty trap. Are you familiar with BOFH?

Those games are still working dude. You're completely lost. Go sleep

I like how you're claiming you've tried every one of those games on the list recently

xD

Hate to say it but my steam version of "Still Life" by Microids still works (Just installed it and tried to play it to verify and it worked.) Can't speak for the other games but that one does work. You might have been talking about a non steam version?

I can't believe this thread is still going. It's hilarious tbh.

of course! Sure, one could buy a re-release that is free of starforce, and I imagine that in the future, games that use Denuvo will get a re-release that doesn't include it. but making your fans have to buy your game over and over again to continue enjoying it isn't really a popular practice from the consumer perspective.

Agreed ^__^ I wasn't even aware I had a re-release version.
