yeah i was about to say that, that is literally the entire point of the game is you are raising her as a father (i think its just father not sure about mother) figure. She can also join a gang... and be evil. Yeah there is some minor lewdness to the game but really its pretty tame overall. also some minor nudity but nothing huge either from wha ti seen, i think the fully nude pics i seen was someone using the nude hack i just learned of that let you have her wear nothing as clothing instead of the other outfits. well i say cheat but its inthe games files so.... cheat code sorta? idk. its japanese and from like the 80s it gets a pass.

You adopted this kid. You are now the parent. Princess Maker literally calls itself Child Raising Simulator on its promotional materials. It's also set in an older era where the moral values are vastly different. If you want a Princess Maker that has no nudity then Princess Maker 4 and Princess Maker 5 (set in Tokyo) will be the one for you.

I guess I don't really understand? As a girl I've been a longtime fan of the Princess Maker series because it has a lot of cute/sweet moments and enjoy seeing the product of your daughter having a respectable career/comfortable marriage (given you play it that way). The nudity in Princess Maker and Princess Maker 2 (I'm not sure if it's in 3, but it's not in 4/5) don't bother me. I can understand why people may think it's weird - I think as she gets older, the nudity is unnecessary. It feels uncomfortable to me then, but besides that it's normal to see your family/children nude - it's not like they're partaking in any sexual activity or something. These games are very old too (not to mention from a very different culture) it was a different time where more "questionable" things would pass in video games.

I very much doubt anyone is playing Princess Maker for the images where she's nude. There is an array of other "material" on the internet, and even on steam if you only wanted that.

I actually didn't plan on buying PM1 since I already have PM2, but seeing all that salt of people with o so high morale standards I needed to drop the extra 10 bucks to make sure the sequels make it here aswell.

From my understanding, it's the same as the Japanese version of the game, which was in fact altered slightly from the original (this is sort of a semi-remaster).

In Japan, the age of this game is over 12 years old.
Nude is drawn because the regulation was loose in the era when it was released in 1991.

Perhaps there is a possibility that the subject age and the area to hide the skin may go up a bit if you sell such a game now.

The interfaces of the content of this game and the depth of the illustration have been partially revised when newly redrawn and there is a possibility that it may be slightly different from the original interface.

However, it is a fun game to play relaxedly.
It seems to look like an erotic games, but it is different, just a lot of word play.

It was a very good thing that it was sold with the original being drawn almost faithfully.

As someone who has access to the DOS and Windows Japanese originals of this game and the refine versions, I can tell you two things:

1. The DOS versions of PM and PM2 the body/dress was a composite, this was because of how the game redraws pixels. So you draw the pixels from the body, and the clothes on top. The end result is you never see the "naked" version of the daughter unless you've hacked the save game to show "undress", which was something that could be triggered in PM2's debug mode, and likely what got it shelved. This is what allowed the facial expression to change without having to redraw the entire screen and to load from floppies quickly.

2. In the Windows versions (before refine) they were literately ports of the DOS version using the exact same assets, and were composited the same way. In the Refine versions of Princess Maker 1 they actually removed the compositing entirely so that every facial expression and clothing style is fused, resulting in more artwork, But hey cd-rom era it doable. In Princess Maker the head from the neck up is separate to change the facial expression.

So for Princess Maker 1 refine, three of the sixteen vacation images have visibile nipples. Also two of the 30 endings have visible nipples (ending 24 (Mercenary) and 28 (High Class Prostitute.)) These are nothing to even care about since the endings are after she's 18, and aren't even graphic.

In the Korean version of PM1 Refine, Bathing suits were drawn on the daughter for all vacation scenes, and the endings where nipples were visible.

Field enemy 2 (Slime), 3 (Cat,) 8 (harpy), Festival Enemy 14 (fairy) 20 and 21 (Harvest Festival) also have exposed breasts in the Japanese version but are censored in the Korean version.

If you want to talk about mis-translations, all the harvest festival names are... mostly wrong. The original names were puns, but due to the audio you can't change them. They're close enough and not really of any consequence.

Like if you bought this game to stare at nipples, you're going to be sorely disappointed. The only content that got censored between the DOS versions and the Refine versions were a consequence of fusing the clothing while increasing the game resolution. So the English version is identical to the Japanese refine version save for the translation of some game text stored as images.
