Giving new players the value pack is just annoying

Just using the features without really knowing what is what, then logging in one day and losing half your bank space, forcing you to re-organize everything, throw away a bunch of stuff and waste a lot of time going from 32 to 16 slots, whilst your inventory also shrinks.

I'd much rather not get this stuff as it's just demotivating and annoying to deal with, on top of being an extremely transparant way of trying to force people to buy the value pack by frustrating them, the new player experience is already atrocious, and this just made me not wanting to play.

Also Value Packs aren't a huge thing in BDO... a ton of people just wait for free Value Packs given out, sell and upgrade. Or they just use the Loyalty 1 day VP to sell stuff on the market.

I did, but then all those storages got cut in half, and even relatively early in the game half the storage space is full and I still have like 200 items in the black spirit safe and challenge rewards, which requires another dozen storage locations.

you should never take out items from the black spirit safe
same with items in the Y tab (some items have expiration date in here so you have to look)

but never take anything from the black spirit safe unless you need it
and if you do not know what it is
leave it there untill you do know

I'm not taking it out, but I'm sure many people have, it's just silly how you're kinda supposed to just not take it out as a new player before you have any idea what is going on, and if you did you're kinda crippled forever until you manage to use it up one day.

Okay here is another hint in dealing the inventory bloat.

Step 1: is it is something that you can sell on the Central Market? Yes or No?
Step 2: Is is something that you think that you will need in the near future(1 month?) Yes or No?

If you answered Yes to 1 and No to 2, then dump it on the market at price that you think it is reasonable.

If you answered Yes and Yes, then put it on the market and then put it at the maximum price. Obviously, this is a little tricky since it actually might sell but if you actually do want to use it and it hasn't sold, then you can take it off the CM and return it to your inventory.

Then when you have a value pack active, claim the money so that you don't get taxed to death. 1 day loyalty or whenever you get a free one.

Items that are up for sale, don't count in the weight limit for the CM and I think it is unlimited number of spaces or I have never hit any limit and I keep a pile of stuff in the CM that I can't keep in my storage.

Wish I had free value pack when I played bdo for the first time back in 2016. Storage dont matter you can buy them in towns and keep expanding it, inventory is annoying but you get a good amount for season, some quest and free rewards here and there it wont matter in the long run. Value pack is there for market and dyes thats mostly its value

I usually save up my VP's until I have a bunch of big silver items I want to sell on the CM and then pop one to reduce the tax against my profit. 😊

I think PA should get rid of contracts and just add all the benefits they bring into the base-game
there is no need for it

they make 99% of the money from whales cronning things anyway

As a new player I have no idea about the value of things and what is important today or tomorrow so I just hoard everything to be on the safe side instead of risking getting rid of something that I won't be able to easily get in the future that I need.

Not quite sure how you're still battling "storage" or "taking it out of black spirit safe" when you now know how to have hundreds of slots in storage room. Even just Velia, small fishing village that it is, gives some 120 storage slots without VP.

Knowing what does what is only ever going to come with learning the game, what you like and plan to do, i.e. im not a horse trainer, horse scrolls and materials are all vendor fodder for me, might not be for you tho, figure it out. Market has a price range cap, you can't possibly sell something worth millions for 10 silver, the items themselves also show current market price on description.

We're having debates about respecting ones time and potentially being a masoquist, but then ya notice you play and have 5000 hours of war thunder. Does war thunder respect an f2ps time? i remember playing ground and naval, grinded like a loon just for tier 5 russian coastal (and tier 3 blue water), finally got my PR 206 Shershen, lovely vessel, one problem tho, everything it needed in terms of upgrades was pay2win too, and at tier 5 its absurd. Want repair tools? 20.000 research points (ages to get), you're on fire? thats a shame, the fire protection system cost another 15 or 20.000 research. Got hit, taking in water? sounds terrible, if only you could have water pumps that cost 13.000 research points. I quit the game, had i stayed that woulda been months grinding research just for BASICS, or, just pay for everything with golden eagles aka real currency. How bout those premium real currency vehicles left and right? great stuff indeed.

Unless War Thunder saw some MASSIVE revision of its systems, 2023 BDO is like a fairytale in comparison, and at this point im scratching my head as to why you're so against it.

yeah VP system is not good
its just trick new player from having temporary buff that they have to pay for it monthly

as a veteran player when my Value pack buff over i leave the game til they giveaway another one
its hard for me to grind these days and i need extra space and 30% tax collection to make some decent money from CM
Hopefully someday they remove 30% tax collection thats kinda joke
