As always, it's good with friends probably. Boring otherwise.
And with friends I mean "let's play together like COOP" but there is no COOP or Dungeon system (yet? or never)
As for co-op, BDO unfortauntely has a completely locked down economy and trading system. You can't trade most items except through the auction house with fixed pricing brackets. You can somewhat quest together, but most things are built and balanced around playing (and grinding) solo, so by playing in a group, depending on where you are, you're actually lowering your progress, i.e. your efficiency.
There is no traditional "Holy Trinity" of classes and no standard type dungeons, however there are two end game areas, Hystria and Aakman Temple which are about as close as you'll get to "dungeons"
You can form groups and play with friends but it is open world PvP so you need to be aware that popular grinding/levelling spots can be contested and other players can kill you without you being flagged for PvP (so PK you).
While the lack of dungeons might sound like a negative, there are many "World" and "Field" bosses that spawn regularly and drop some of the best gear in the game. You also begin to receive daily or weekly personal boss scrolls as you level and can also hunt down instanced bosses via the newly introduced Dark Rifts.
The game, for it's flaws and often salty community, has many good points and interesting concepts. It's well worth a go
PS: good luck with BDO !
Right click your Start button, pick "Command Prompt (Administrator)" and enter the following command (make absolutely sure to copy the whole line):
Then go to "C:\Windows", look for the file "xhunter1.sys" and delete it.
And yes, they disguise the whole thing under yet another name so you don't notice/find it.
And don't worry, if you ever want to play again, it will silently reinstall itself when you launch the game (that's why you have to run it with admin permissions).
