Is there actually no armor in this?
Is armor actually just cosmetic? and you get better looking armor from the cash shop? so if that is the case, what are players grinding/raiding for? what is the purpose?

get boss weapon, armor and special jewels and you try to enchant it to reach level 5 or pen

grinding for level and skill points

and grinding for special crystals

it is what end game players do

other players dont care and just enjoy the game

and other players just dress up their waifus and dont care to grinding

so it depend of what do you want to do in black desert ^_^
yup. Find your joy in the game and build on it - find a guild that matches your playstyle and grow with the game.

if your talking about look then yes all armor look plain simple and ugly. thats how they get you to buy 30 dallor cosmetic or try your luck at market place.if your talking about stats then armor do have different stats. many combination to choose depending on your build and budget.

armor is armor. You can only get your gear in-game - mp/killing mobs/bosses. Pearlshop items are not "armors" they are outfits(clothes, glasses, underwear, my little pony stuff). They only change the apperiance of your gear and that is big bc boss gear is ugly. All the stats are unchanged, 'buffs' marginal most of the time, unless you are buying this game to become a pro on chopping wood and underwater gathering... I sniped my outfit from mp so... :)

tons of armors. in game. the game just doesnt have the typical vertical curve in loot like other games where everything before max lvl becomes obsolete garbage. pick a set. work with it until its good.
the only real catch here is endgame clothings gear from bosses looks like TOTAL GARBAGE. So at this point you will want a costume or youll look like a complete tool in game. Unless you are into that.

there are many dungeons. just they are open world with no load screens and people can come kill you in them while you grind if they want. there is no "dungeon-finder style dungeons" no. And honestly i can say after 19 years of "those kinds of dungeons" this is a nice refreshing take on it.

grunil looks pretty good on some classes(it currently is the ONLY cloth face cover mask visual in the game for ninja......wtf kakao?). as does steel taritas armor on dark knight and possibly others i dunno.

bdo lends much of it's game design from when mmo's had gear goals as opossed to handheld cosmetic goals that we see on much of the mmo's on the west.

Ppl need to be trained to see what's actually good about playing a mmo i guess.

MS2 follows a similar design, even the premium outfits don't look that great. The design shop in that game is the only saving grace for good looking outfits.

in bdo you pretty much grind for number, there is no visual progression, the boss armor change your skin but for the worst to push you to the cash shop.
