Wow vs Bdo
Bdo = Noob farms 14h/daily pve to get gear 1-year but his max rating in wow 1.4k arena because they can't get skill advantage by just investing insane hours.

Wow = Skilled player plays arena 2h daily and gets 2.6k rating in wow because gear is identical in arena so it's 100% skill. Every class is also capable getting 2.8k. You have also competive scene with prizes up to 100 000.

This game is 100% gear 0% skill. Designed for 12-year old kids who live in moms basement.

BDO = JOKE.

At this point it should be common knowledge that WoW is leagues ahead of BDO. And yeah grinding is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ for gear...takes ages to get ♥♥♥♥. However I went into WoW and wasn't really my type of game. Went into BDO and was instantly addicted. But as soon as I reached lvl 56 grinding and actually playing the game really burnt me out. It's one of those games where u enjoy and appreciate the world build, combat and the aesthetics of the game as a NEW player...but it becomes a pain in the ass for endgame.

I don't know single competive player in bdo who is without pets+weight upgrade+Value Pack. It's no longer convenience when you fall behind other players.

So price is 25 euro for game + 3 pets + 200 weight + value pack for 11 months which is 132 euros = Total 189 euros (With black friday bonuses)

If you're nolife you can skip value pack but even for no life 30% from market is huge loss of money and if you're lucky you might snipe value pack which is insanely hard to buy.

So wow is cheaper BUT you get challanging PVE raid content + Competive pvp enverioment. In bdo you get nice graphs and fun combat especially if you play alt. But for pvp.. Nope unless you're no life.
You are delusional.

Also love how op forgot about price of expansions in his calculations

lol its obvious hes fanboying a bit much on WoW almost all his replies are riddled with his opinions on what a player has and to top that off his own made up percentages.

I'm not fanboy because I kept 6-month brake from game. All I'm saying is that in wow pvp is more balanced and fair. BDO is not competive game.

In WoW gear in arena is equal.
In Sc2 build time is equal.
In LoL or Cs:Go damage output and team composition is equal.

This is why these games also have esports because they have equal playfield which means more skill based. All of these games are competive.

I recommend bdo for people who like to take chill from competive gaming and just play casually. Forget about pearls or grinding 12h/day. Best way to play this game is being chill because there is nothing to compete against.

Again, MMO's will never be balanced to be called competitive. Playing WoW is like owning an iPhone, pointless waste of money with better alternatives wich can be a lot of other MMO's, not only BDO.

Being the best in PVP in either of those games is like being the smartest person on the short bus at the end of the day you're still a @#$@^&.

You mustn't keep up to date on things, since last year you can buy game time for wow with your in game gold.

What's the point of such topics ?
To me, Wow suck and is boring. I'm not gonna complain on a forum or any wow site that BDO or any other MMO is better.

Yeah getting gold in wow is super easy it's free.

But you're not behind gear curve if you do that.

But gl not buying anything "convenience" items in bdo. You will fall in progress compared others even more. That's why you should never buy pearl items in first place because this game is not competive for MAJORITY OF PLAYERS.
The Grin Nov 29, 2017 @ 1:59am
Look, personnally i play BDO since a month, enjoying the game but i saw through it pretty quickly. This game is the most beautiful MMO existing with near photorealistic graphics, excellent combat system and many activities. Of course i pour acid on the RNG, the pearl shop prices (i made some purchases but at a reduced price , i never buy full sets, only seperate parts) and.......again the RNG, the PVP side of the game and finally tne ennemies being a bunch if idiots you can just slash through like a knife in a block of butter.

You compare the Game to WOW...........emmmm you should probably compare BDO to Guild Wars 1.........personnaly Guild Wars 1 is the best MMO ever (henchmen, free pets, HARD combat all free and excellent extensions!).

I bought this game despite going through all the bashful reviews about it just to give it a shot for myself. After coming across this thread i felt compelled to throw my own point of view in here. MMORPG was a genre that originally started as a time waster in every sense of a way, not a competitive genre....more like a second life (not talking about THE "Second Life" game). Hence it SHOULD be about the PvE, Not the PvP. Having PvP in there was supposed to be an afterthought, personally to me, Blizzards *quality of life changes* over the years in WoW have made the game incredibly dull and boring in every sense of a way....removal of elite quests, quest helper, queue system removed the need for open world when you stand in 1 spot all the time ready to click your next queue, homogenizing all the classes and removing specialty traits (i didn't explain this very well but if you want to know more i could clarify in a later post) feeling from each class and further forcing a predetermined playstyle onto each class...aka 'hunters no longer have the ability to wield melee weapons' would be a great example, Heck PvP was just as horribly imbalanced as bdo's back in those old times (minus the god forsaken RNG BDO has) What i'm getting at here is MMORPG's shouldn't focus on trying to create a fighter game/shooter game type of balance every class having a weakness vs another class or feeling useless vs a particular class*or build* was part of the rpg charm, Blizzards new direction for WoW became too much about the Esports scene and their investments into the Esports scene proves this as well as the constant simplification of every other feature in the game (nerfing). Their new PvE content seems reused/rehashed and not thought out (rushed), The last raid dungeon that was worth mentioning was Ulduar and that was back during WoTLK. To me the game changed for the worst. Now i realize BDO's end game ultimately revolves around PvP but this is no different than saying, if you are on a PvP server in Warcraft you should only be doing PvP...Hint....the latter is not true at all, But at least in BDO you have just a bit more freedom to do whatever even if it feels like a mindless grind plus ....it was 5 dollars, Why the hell not? lol

But for pvp purpouse sandbox style freedom just doesn't work because you have to balance equal amount of players in team + gear + balance skills. If you don't have equal playfield then game is no longer competive.

So only thing we have left is PVE. And what we have in BDO? Just brainless mobs/boss which doesn't take any effort to kill. You might give excuse "but at least you go out and socialize with people".. Then what makes you not join pve guild in wow and clear raid content/dungeons with players you know?

Only thing that BDO has is more immersive world/combat because wow is 15 year old game = outdated. + It also has more rp elements which allows players have more freedom and excuse to farm for progress. But you have to pay price of that freedom with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ world pvp and unchallanging pve. It's double edged sword.

I won't sit here and try to defend this game, every point you made is valid as far as i can tell, my previous argument had to do with your previous argument on this thread mainly with the addition that MMORPG shouldn't be about the PvP anyhow, But i was just sharing my point of view on MMORPG genre, my only reason for trying this game was because of how cheap it was on sale and to be honest, if i can get even 20 hours of enjoyment before hitting the frustrating points about this game, then i think the 5 dollars was justified here. on a side note, i just can't get into Warcraft anymore for the life of me, which is why i'm all over the place in the MMO genre, they all never have that long term hook on me...not like Warcraft did back then

Oh yeah it's defienetly worth 5 bucks and you don't need pearl items tbh. You will fall behind in progress but if you can't play 10h/day to stay competive then who cares. You can progress in your own phase.
