I'm not a developer but I can answer for you: No, it's a puzzle game. It's a two-player coop where you need the other person's help to progress.

The problem is the cooperation part because most players do not have microphones or give up when they have to use more than one brain cell. In that respect that's horror of how stupid and useless most people are, but I'm pretty sure that's not the intention of the gam.e

Zixinus already explained it wonderfully. The games can be exciting/thrilling but our intend is to keep you up at night thinking about that one puzzle you cannot solve, not to give you nightmares.

cool its a good description its just all the youtube vids about it say i got scared by a mannequin but every time i try to play my partner leaves so i keep trying [ :

this game needs to have an option to remove the timer. I don't see the point in having the timer anyway. all it does it make this game impossible to play with mentally challenged people or old people.

also don't know why there isn't a restart button. sitting on the chess board and my screen is covered in ice so I can't actually play the game but there's no way to start over. I just have to sit here and wait for the game to end. fun.

doing co-op puzzles is a great idea but you can't put a dumb timer that doesn't really serve any purpose other than to make the game unfun

I can tell you from experience that if you can just get someone willing to talk to you on a microphone, even if they are not fluent in English for example but can understand enough of your language so you can communicate you can get through puzzles. With out giving out too much plot , you need one person to perform the puzzles and describe what they are seeing and you need one person who has the keys to all your puzzles to give you the clues to unlock your areas. you need to be able to describe shapes , sights and objects clearly. Working together even I did not know them at all and his native language is Spanish we still managed to get 8 puzzles into the game on We Were Here the first game.

Hi Summa, The key to the Chessboard is beating the timer, to do this you must make sure the librarian has put the film chess moves into the projector, and has it ready. Your object for the explorer is 1. Turning on the Generator. To do this this is two steps one prime the pump three times, there will be a dial on it click it once, then wait for the arrow to make it to the green section and click it, do this three times. then push the start button. on the left once you do that the projector will come on and your partner can tell you which pieces to move. HINT: Start with White like all chess matches. Even if you are not great at chess a good partner can tell you which pieces t move in time HINT 2: This will be a 7 move checkmate that works on novice chess players not paying attention.

Definitely. I always touted Serena as the worst game I've ever played. While Serena is still worse, this is the only game I've played since that's given me the exact same feeling of disheartenment and disgust, and what's worse is they made me drag a partner into it. Fortunately, this game tells you it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks by the second puzzle.
