Does it matter for immersion?

It doesnt matter i guess. I played with via teamspeak and it worked out completly fine. It's up to your preferences.

The one-way communication line is a gameplay feature, but it won't break the game if you use a 3rd party voice chat. If you experience any difficulty with the in-game voice chat I would even reccommend you to use teamspeak, skype or something similar.

How to disable ingame vioce?! Its a nigthmare! Once we tried to play with Discord it was echo. After disabling voice chat in steam settings and set zero volume for voice in game settings, echo didnt dissapears. Then, when we decided to play with ingame voice, closed discord and set up all ingame settings to max volume, my friend listened me like in ass! So quiet, that pizdec.

Why have a Push to Talk key if the game uses Voice Detection? Also what's the point of Voice Chat Volume if 0 does nothing? My friend has to use his VAC or whatever it's called so I don't hear twice in my recordings. :s

you can set the Voice Chat Volume to zero if you want to play with 3rd party communication,

under the audio settings

it only enabled when ur in lobby, once your in-game, the only way to hear eachother is using the walkie talkie, so don't use the walkie talkie and you wont hear eachother

I avoid Discord because I'm aware that it's a wide open door for anyone that would want to infiltrate into another persons computer, and all of the hype I see online about something or other on Discord getting hacked. To stomp out any arguments before they arise:

Discord? No thanks. Best of luck to you if it's what you choose to use, but please consider the risks and headache it will be because someone with nothing better to do or upset with you hacks your account or the entire server of which Discord will be of very little help to resolve.

I use secure voice coms that have been around for decades and known to be secure and work well:
TeamSpeak
Mumble
Ventrilo

Discord has barely been around for 4 years and in that short 4 years it has been a nightmare for some people (who were hacked) and a wide open playground for hacking.

"But the others aren't free, you nhave to pay for servers." people say. This is incorrect. You can run a server for any of them on your computer with unlimited slots, FREE! All setting that up takes is port forwarding on your router of which there are step-by-step tutorials and instructions on how to do it online as well as in the server download package of some of them.

TeamSpeak server hosts start at $25 per year or less. For me removing the risk of being hacked is worth paying pocket change for.

^ how does ur discord getting hacked have any problem in relation to your computer? I understand your account/server gets deleted, messages get read, or you''re friends get trolled (its just like in the old facebook days). But if you got 2 factor authentication, dont share your password, ,safe browse on the web, and not using the same password on fishy sites, I dont see how hacked would be a problem, just like any other site with accounts
