Hey there everybody! Welcome to the We Were Here FAQ with the answers to some commonly asked questions.

Q: What is We Were Here?
A: We Were Here is the first part of a series of first-person cooperative puzzle adventures. They share a story, but can be played in any order.

Q: Is We Were Here free?
A: Yes, We Were Here is free to download on Steam! There are no microtransactions or any type of payment involved. It serves as a pilot episode to let people try the We Were Here experience.

Q: Are there more We Were Here games?
A: Yes! You can play the original We Were Here to get a taste for the series, enjoy the sequel We Were Here Too, or the latest game in the series: We Were Here Together!

Q: Do I need We Were Here to be able to play other We Were Here games?
A: No, all We Were Here games are standalone.

Q: Will there be a mobile version of We Were Here?
A: For now we have no plans to develop a mobile version of We Were Here or We Were Here Too, but you never know what the future may bring.

Q: I can’t connect to my partner in We Were Here. What can I do?
A: First check that your game isn’t restricted by firewall settings. You could also check the in-game language filter options - if you don’t have the same language selection, you will not be able to find your friend. Also make sure your UDP ports are open.

Q: Are the We Were Here games available on other platforms?
A: We Were Here and the sequel We Were Here Too are both available on Xbox One! We plan to release We Were Here Together on Xbox one in the future.

There are currently no definite plans for releases on other consoles than Xbox One.

Q: Will crossplay be possible between PC and Xbox One?
A: Regretfully it will not be possible for PC players to match with console players.

Q: Will there be Linux support?
A: We're afraid that it isn't practical for us to support Linux at this time. We have no plans for adding support in future.

Can someone help me : game/screen play wont show up
The game is in my taskbar and if I click it then I can hear the music . But the game won't show up on my screen I need help :/

Many people (including me) have this problem and devs don't even bother to answer to their own topic. I tried everything what people wrote and nothing from that works.

Wait... seriously?! No crossplatform? For a 2 Gb game In 2023?!
This is absurd: from my Microsoft PC Game Pass I have just gift a legit copy of the game to my niece who has an Xbox Game Pass, in the hope that we could play together, I on my PC under Steam, and she on Xbox at her home. Guess that if I instead bought my copy via Microsoft, it changed nothing. Wouldn't want to be rude, nor unfair, but with all due respect, this whole thing seems to me more like some kinda bad joke...
