Chess Puzzle STILL bugged?!

No matter what we do and who plays librarian, the projector wont show any video. Just a white screen..
And the game was super fun until now, feelsbadman.

The projector worked for me and my friend. We both got windows 10. Don't forgot to start the generator first

Finished the game twice today, worked both times, make sure the guy outside starts the generator and then rotates the crank so that the librarian can watch the movie.

Anyway, thank you for the tip but if the generator isn't active, the projector won't show any white screen 'cause it can't work without energy. So, no matter what you do, the problem is when the projector is on... and it can't be switched on without doing the generator first.

I'm using Win 7 but my partner was using Win 10 so I don't know.

I literally just finished a second playthrough with my friend yesterday. It is NOT bugged. And has nothing to do with OS. I have Win7 and my friend has Win10. Neither of us had problems finishing the game, twice. We finished it without bugs the first playthrough, weeks ago, prior to the August 1st patch, and we finished it again with switched roles in the second playthrough yesterday, after the patch.

You need to make sure you're doing the right things.
First, the generator needs to be started by the Explorer in the courtyard. That takes TWO steps.
Second, the film reel must be installed on the projector by the Librarian, and then the reel needs to be cranked. Then press the button to start the projector. It will start playing shortly.
Third, the chess pieces must be moved correctly. Make sure you are trying to pickup the correct piece, on the correct side, at the correct step. The game will not let you pickup the wrong piece.

Did you put the reel on the table in the projector first? Also the explorer needs to activate a generator outside first for the projector to get power.

We have replaced the Video with an PNG sequence to provide more compatibility with different systems. I hope this resolves the issue for everyone. There are ofcourse other steps in the puzzle that need to be completed before the video is actualy playable.
