Horror aspect?
Hey,
me and my gf don't like horror or jump scares so was making sure this isn't in the game. We don't mind spooky but we want to just play a puzle game without thinking something might jump out at us. How much of this game is horror and how bad does it get?

Its not very scary. theres is stuff like things quickly darting across a far hallway, but i didnt notice it until my 3rd playthrough. The spookiest part was the theater puzzle but no jumps.

Good! We don't mind creepy but jump scares are annoying if you are trying to play the game. I think she might be better as the librarian as I know I didn't have any creepy stuff on my play through up until the chess games. MESSEGE TO DEVS! DO NOT GO DOWN THE JUMP SCARE ROUTE!

Zero jumpscares, almost no horror. This of course, doesn't subtract from the game. At the very end, there is a slow creeping thing but it's not a jump.

The outright spooky part is on the librarian side actually. There's some wierd dudes that dart accross some doorways and an overall more paranoid atmosphere as the explorer, but the librarian gets the most intense part of the spooks in the final part in my opinion. It's not that bad though, it's not a jumpscare or anything but it will make the puzzle much more tense for the librarian.

the part with the marionette as the librarian scared me sh*tless, there were no jumpscares, but the fact that it slowly advances on you as you struggle to finish the puzzle is horrific.
