His "V" -talking button worked, and i could hear him (in both lobby and in-game)
Mine "V"-talking button did NOT work for some reason, he couldnt hear me although my voice settings were okay. (he could hear me in lobby, but not in-game)
1. No one can hear you, but you can hear them
- Set your microphone as a standard device in Windows Recording devices (Rightmouslick on speaker icon in taskbar and click recording devices). After that restart the game.
- If applicable, unplug other microphone devices and restart the game.
2. The voice chat works in the lobby room, but stops when in-game
- Lower your graphics quality settings to prevent the game from freezing for a while (if that's the case).
- If that doesn't work, try switching roles (Librarian/explorer)
3. The voice chat doesn't work for both you and your friend
- In some cases the voicechat servers could be overloaded. Then it's best to try at a later time.
And lastly, there is always an option to use external voice chat like Discord, Teamspeak or Skype. The loss of Walkie Talkies will not impact the gameplay too much.
Next time we may see if any of these suggestions help.
For everyone where the voicechat works in lobby, but not in-game, do you have a moment where the game freezes, the first time you enter the game?
