How "horror" is this?

The concept of this game looks very interesting to me, but I'm really bad at dealing with horror themes in games. Without spoilers, what makes this game deserve that tag?

It's actually non horror. There is only one scene which is a bit scary, but no jumpscares. Just a little creepy music in that one scene.

The game is very tense, but there are no jumpscares. like toalp said though, there is one pretty creepy bit, but again, no jumpscares

Is it the weird puppet screenshot that I keep on seeing in the forums? I'm not a horror fan either so what does the puppet thing do? Just hang there?

Yep, he just kinda' hangs there. He doesn't even animate really, he'll just pop into a new position that's slightly closer to you. That's literally the only scary bit. I really hate horror games, can't stand them, but I was able to play and really enjoy this. It just feels really tense is all ^-^

okay good! that helps a lot! one more question though... if you dont figure out the puzzle in time, will the puppet kill you? hopefully I wont have that problem XD

It's not clear what happens, because the language is something like "the marionette finished the first act", then fades to black. If you didn't look into the audience, you wouldn't even know it was there.

Heard my friend talking something about a creepy Marionette following him at one point but that's about it

There are some elements of horror, but on in the jumpscare kind of way. There is a lot of mystery to the Castle and a certain character that will show up from time to time. But it's not like 'actual' horror games. It's more about trying to escape the castle.
