No narration on Linux, no questions, nothing to do.

First time trying to play this, but it seems badly broken on Linux. From the trailer it seems like I should be hearing some sort of narration. From comments it seems the game should ask me some sort of questions? When I hit 'x' to "think" something should happen?

None of these things seem to work. I'm mote, then I'm an animal, and that's it. There's occasional music. I can move around and look but cannot interact with anything otherwise.

Am I expecting too much?

Are you trying to play it natively or using Proton? If you're playing natively, then try playing it with Proton instead and it should work as expected.

If you're playing it with Proton instead, then try different versions, including GloriousEggroll's Proton on Github.

Otherwise re-install the game, maybe something went wrong during that process
