Nothing to interact

Hi Everybody,

I'm running around, but there are no icons. If I press x sometimes a text appears (sould press it if I'm near a "flowericon") Nothing to interact. Restartet the game, restarted the area but nothing changed. I can run around but thats it. Watched some youtube videos... there were icons and text I never saw. Runnung on Linux.

Any ideas?

i have the same issue. I am on fedora. I think it is a rendering issue. i use the amd opensource driver.

hey all -- I also had this issue but on Manjaro -- was able to fix the missing text and missing icons (thoughts, hexagrams, etc.) by enabling Proton (version 5.x.x) and running with that activated . Hope that helps anyone also stuck because I couldn't ANY help or support online for this issue.

I'm running it on Manjaro with the AMD opensource driver.
It's a sneaky bug, because you don't notice at first if you don't know the game.
At first I ran around clueless asking myself if that was all :-)

Thanks for the Proton hint - That worked for me.

Looking like this may be worked around in a future version of Mesa. There's a report of a problem in the SEGA Mega Drive emulator[gitlab.freedesktop.org] and comments indicating that it should fix things for this game and for Beautiful Desolation.

Repository here[gitlab.freedesktop.org] (for those of us who are comfortable with compiling Mesa ourselves).

Just wanted to say I am having the same problem. (Manjaro here, using AMD GPU). No icons (did not even know text should be there. :)
