autoplay is stupid

when a player decides to play your game, you need to LET THEM PLAY IT. this autoplay is the most ridiculous feature i've ever seen. you can claim that is only kicks in because i was in hte tutorial, but seriously, the whole point of a tutorial is to learn to play, I can't exactly learn hte game if your autoplay kicks in and does everything before i get the chance to read the messages and try it out. what really pissed me off the most was hte point where i was in front of the computer game inside the golden gate and it told me to do something in a menu and before i had chance to do it, autoplay ddecided i was too slow. I wouldn't have minded nearly so much if i hadn't already gone in the menu and switched all the autoplay settings to 0.
I tell you, I was really going to give this game a positive review because the elements of the game are really outstanding. This is really high level stuff and really well done, and then you go and put in this really stupid mechanic. I just had to give it a negative review because you really ruined the experience for me.

I like the autoplay feature but I agree that when reading new stuff, it was really frustrating when it took control and prevented me from finishing reading it.
It would be great if the timer was longer by just a couple of seconds.

You should be able to turn autoplay off entierlly from the settings. Under auto play the top option has 3 settings one should turn it off for you

I did turn it all off and yet it continued to function.

Strange so the item you are is still moving? the world around you will still move and do things but say for example if you are a tree the tree should not do anything when the feature is turned off.

also are you playing with a mouse and keyboard or a controller?

controller. yes, I was in space, and i had all autoplay turned off, and it ascended into subatomic. and then when i was at the computer, i was trying to read what it was telling me, and all of a sudden the game opened my menu and cleared all the messages. it really ruined the experience, as i was completely denied any opportunity to solve that puzzle. i was tempted to ask for a refund because i got the same experience as if i had just watched a youtube video.

ok you can always go back and read the text and re listen to all the audio tracks if you havent cleared your memories. on a Xbox 360 or the one controller use the back button. if you are using a ps3 try the select button and on the ps4 try either the touch pad or the share button. not sure how the ps button works on the pc thou but i am guessing on those because i have also played the ps4 version and to get the memories you used the touch pad. also with mouse and keyboard to access the memories you would use the ~ button. hope some of this helps.

well I couldn't access the memories because the game wiped them before i had chance to read them. and it showed me the solution to the puzzle of how to get out of the golden gate, before i had chance to even think about it.

ah i see there should be a computer like terminal in the abyss like place you first enter after that you access your memories and clear them. after that ascend going up ward. so if you are still need to exit the gold gate that is how you leave.
