No. If you become a something bigger, such as an island, and then descend you'll realize there are houses, and then you go up, come back, and see powerlines that kinda stuff

I think it's kind of philosophical thing. You know what being human is like, but you need to witness you're part of everything and everything is part of you.

A lot of good answers here. I assumed it's because the game, being called Everything, represents "every thing". The Alan Watts audio in-game often fixates on what it means to be a "thing" and what it means to be a "person", i.e. "A thing is a noun" vs "every creature in the universe regards itself as a human being".

So yeah, it's most likely as Liberteer says above. The game is already designed for and from the human perspective, but it is specifically about seeing the world from the perspective of everything else.
