Dude, there are more than 1k objects here, you can be everything and they arent a big and know guys so they didnt had the money to do animations for all of them. And you didnt even played the game, for me it doesnt kill the game. But you know, opinion is opinion

no the trailer was enough. as soon as i saw the animlas rolling that was what killed it for me. if you are going to make a game dont cheap out on animations. especial onces that almost every game in history has done

This is my reaction exactly. The concept completely captivated me...until I saw the tip-to-tail animations of the animals and my interest sunk. How the hell can I feel like an animal if I don't even move like one?

There may be more than 1k objects in the game but dude, the movements of animals means everything as far as immersion goes.

Yup. This game is dumb as ♥♥♥♥. You are Rhino.... no, I'm a block flipping on end. WTF devs?

Have to agree. I'm just about ready to buy this, but animal "rolling" is rather immersion breaking for me. I get that the scale of this game is huge, and there's several items... and they didn't even have to do animations... keep the legs straight and bounce them along like they do bugs. When I simulate an animal in the wild, I want to feel like an animal in the wild... not like I'm flipping along a cheap plastic kids toy (meaning those big bags of plastic animal toys that you can buy usually in the cheap toys section of a department store) across the landscape. :steamsad:

I think if they couldn't afford walking animations for everything, just have it wobble from side to side and move along the ground (like bugs do). At least that'd look somewhat like walking.

I actually wouldn't mind if they were just frozen models that slid. Sure it's still unrealistic but at least they're upright

It's an artistic expression directly relating to the FIRST animal all players will experience conciousness as. The rolling of the model helps to simulate the passage of time more clearly and creates a dissonace that prevents the player from completly absorbing the persona of the mammal as an entity. Remember you aren't supossed to be a thing, you are conciousness manifest as the repeating pattern of whatever dna construct you chose to inhabit and experience at whatever time.

I'd say that definitely meets the threshold for "polishing a turd". :steammocking:

they roll because it's quirky but if you play the game for longer than an hour or so you'll realize that complaint is somewhat irrelevant

I recommend playing it until having finished the tutorial.
The game will tell you when the tutorial is over with fireworks and text telling you to go explore.
Then you should be able to see the deeper meaning of this game.

It's not much of a problem, if anything it makes a little humor out of a relaxation game. Laughing is relaxing so i get why it's like that.

The game looks interesting and I would be willing to buy it for that...

...but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the rolling stupid and kills it for me. Yeah yeah they didn't have money to animate them but what about now?

I feel cheated they say "everything" when in truth, there's no difference between a cow and a sheep. What's the point of being everything if it's just the same?

Because that's the point. Everything is different, yet everything is the same.
