Golden Gate

After a while, you have to get back to your starting point, to descend into the golden gate. Any idea how to easily find a way back to the starting point? Because I didn't exactly keep track of which exact movements i made from the start...

I have no idea either. Mostly replying to follow, I started out as a camel and I tried transforming, changing into it legit on a desert continent... But I've been through so many universes up and down I don't know where the start point could even be anymore.

I belive that when you "change" universe, the universe is just looping.

I've noticed that the continents loop pretty quickly (especially over the movement scale of a large tree or especially a Huge Stepped Pyramid), so that's likely.

I am also having this issue.. except all I did was go up to continent and then back down, but when I went back down the area was completely different. I've tried doing this again a bunch now and I can't find my original area, let alone the golden gate :/

EDIT: found it! it does indeed loop through areas. Sucks if you scaled more than I did, but if you remember your starting area and keep trying to get back to it, eventually it should work.

So, just keep exploring? Guess that fits with the rest of the game.

If you leave it on autoplay and allow it to ascend and descend you'll eventually find your way back

Confirmed. I let Everything wander for me, let it change things around, and next thing I knew I was looking right at the gate. It's the golden spiky thing that was where you began, it'll stick out like a sore thumb. Point is, I think you can let go, sit back, and let the game take you there.

I only remember that I started as an animal on a green continent. I tried looking within these green continents but I haven't gotten back to where I've started.

Thanks! I got back using autoplay, I forgot that I have traveled through galaxies and thought I would still end up on the same planet.

Figures. I should have listened when the game told me to just let go of the controls for a bit. Who knew it would actually have a purpose in that mode? I thought it was just for demoing.

You've gotta deal with what is inside if you want to truly connect with everything

If you started on a Sand continent, just keep looking through Sand continents, make sure you're in the same solar system type (yellow sun, blue sun etc.) and hope you get lucky. I actually found it less than 10 minutes before writing this.
