Why would there be an anticheat?
What do you get out of it ? I am good at cheating in a game, not so much of a achievement if you ask me, ah well its thier money I guess.
It isn't fully integrated into steam so I highly doubt they'll apply a VAC - also as an amused aside, VAC is attrocious as an anti-cheat and often misses memory edits, literally the most basic form of cheating.
They have announced they will be doing Steam Workshop support at some point, which means modding. That right there should tell you their stance on people using trainers.
The reason trainers work in multiplayer is because this is a single-player game that allows you to play online via P2P. What that means is that all of your character's information is saved on your computer, not on some server somewhere, which would be the case if this was a full-fledged MP game, which it is not. You can play the entirety of this game on a computer that has no internet connection. Just disconnect your cable and play. You couldn't do that with a multiplayer game.
If you don't like cheaters, then get friends. I don't know what else to tell you. Otherwise, just get used to it.
