The game natively supports the PS5 controller. But the icons are from DS4, you can change them in the menu.
In fact, Steam has a feature called Steam Input, which makes practically any controller compatible with any game.
So if in the future you want to play a game, it doesn't matter, just activate the feature.

you do't need ds4 and the icons by default are xbox not ds4 you can change that only in the title screen settings

I play with an Xbox Series X controller. So yes, a PS5 one should work just fine.

Played through the whole game with a DS5 controller without a single issue. People who report issues with them (in other games, don't remember them doing that here_ are always the ones at fault and don't understand how to set it up properly with Steam.
