They tend to stay off to the sides where monsters won't bother them. If you go to your map, you can filter it to Traps/Environmental to see them on the map. You'll also always find some to recruit in their main camp where you befriended them.

that i know, its the same for every palico friend.
i just hasnt encountered any of them so i was asking if all players in a multiplayer lobby had to do it for them to show up.

as they can put traps every now and then to that makes them throw a ton of bombs on the monster for a very funny looking trap

Ah, for the environmental traps, I believe you need a couple levels of friendship with them before they start to show up. Not sure how it works in regards to multiplayer, like if only the host needs those levels, or if everyone does, etc.

Map traits are likely host only. The map isn't going to suddenly change when new players join in.

Doing the Witcher crossover special assignment and doing the Gajakala side quest within it dramatically increases the odds of friendly Gajakala showing up in your missions.

the chief from the gajalaka even tells you you only befriend this tribe not all of them. so there are still some of them on some maps that are hostile to you.

that are the ones that you can find on the map as monsters. they will attack evrything sometimes the monster somtimes you.

the ones that are your friends will not be market as monsters. and will not attack. if you go near them your palico will talk to one of them and he will follow you on that quest. this will not work if there are more then one hunter on the quest or you already have a grimalkine or gajalaka companion.

and there will spawn some stationary traps like with the other grymalkine.

yea i am not doing that. leshen is a garbage designed monster.
if it were a pokemon the leshen would poison stall your entire team.
its almost as bad as kushala

The main issue isn't really Leshen itself but the equipment you get is insanely underpowered to the point it takes ages to even kill the small possessed monsters.

If you could get proper weapons and skill sets then it would be an ok but boring fight but you're so underpowered that it becomes frustrating.

Its like the azure Rathalos arena: The monster isn't that hard, you just get literally useless weapons and armor.

Especially the bow having nothing but sharpness and blunt weapon skills on their armor making their armor literally useless.
