Alatreon is the worst boss design I've encounted in MHW so far

2 days of fighting him with rando's and haven't beaten him once... CAPCOM needs to pay for this poor design..

I'm using a maxed out Rimeguard B+ set minus the chest I'm using a Damascus mail B+ and a Winged Seraphyd GS

This boss makes me wanna commit warcrimes.

Try Safi armor set + a kjarr weapon from kulve or a frostfang barioth weapon if you don't have the kulve weapons available.

is the Kulve BIS for this fight?

All the elemental Kjarr weapons have build in critical element.
that means you don't have to wear specific armor sets to get the ability, allowing you to instead use the Safi armor which increases elemental damage even more.

well I'll have to wait 2 weaks to get that since the events out of rotation... very emergent gameplay design...

just solo him and if you gonna bring non elemental weapon just make sure you cart on his ult. random makes it harder coz you dont know what they will bring on the fight. if they bring blast weapon or crap build gg. just beat him using lbg pierce 3 safi aquashot 4 cart.

The weapons you get from Frostfang Barioth are decent alternatives. All of them being ice element. good for the alatreon fight that starts with it being in fire mode

Learn the fight solo sir, or go into a lobby and get carried by someone who did learn it solo. Alatreon has the best/cleanest hitbox in the game. Big attacks open for big punishes. Its a dance sir. Ala moves, you move, just swinging away will get you carted in two to three hits.

Its the best fight in the game. Take some time and you'll probably learn to appreciate how good the fight is.

Velkh armor + frostfang weapon do great if you don't want to farm safi.
Other than that it is a classic skill issue , its way easier to solo than EVER do something with randoms , and its easier to learn the monster , ala has very fair moves and its really not hard to hit the topple with the right gear.
Also focus the front legs to do the most ele damage.
