PR does have some leeway when it comes to this, since the strong parts of the combo are the initial hit and the last stab you can simply rush/ignore the shield attack in the middle if needed, and remember that the rest of the SnS kit is quite good too and as always, a great hunter doesn't spam a single move but knows when to use what for maximum proficiency.
For any weapon it's not a "meme" but more of a fun gimmick to play with every now and then, can be fun to fool around playing with friends and such but not something you want to use, particularly because slugger is not worth the trouble and at most you'll get only 1 more stun out of it (or if you are in a bad group or having a rough time, maybe 2 more)
That's some dude doing a Perfect Rush and breaking the golden rat's horn, that's all, if it's about the timing it does look a bit too fast for my eyes too, but I'm no expert, could be a mod or someone playing at 144+ fps or whatever though.
Raw is good on every weapon, but in simple terms the faster a weapon is the better elemental is on it.

Perfect rush combo into the weakening attack. That just happened to break KT's horn on the last hit too.
In general, you should always be perfect rushing, but if there's no time (e.g. rajang), you can do the infinite combo. For some monster downs, you may not have the time to do PR 2 hit cancel into full PR, so you can do falling bash into full PR instead (it's slightly faster). The third hit does massive damage so don't cancel the second hit unless you are sure the monster will be down for a while
Legit for scripted speedruns, because sometimes having extra knockdowns earlier can seal a run. For most players, it's more of a fun tool to mess around with. Meme in multiplayer (KO thresholds too high)
Can you elaborate on "perfect rush whenever you get an opportunity." What if the enemy isn't downed, and I know I can get a perfect rush but it's not the full combo. Should I still go for that? Like I can squeeze in two "rushes" and pull out before the 3rd charge. From what I gathered, perfect rush isn't a full commitment since you can dodge at some point without completing the whole set.
On SnS raw vs elemental/status
Blast like teo isn't half bad then? I've always avoided status on any weapon since it feels like I won't be proccing them more than twice or thrice.
Raw is meta for SnS in iceborne because Perfect Rush has very little ele and it's your best damaging move.
Yeah, I was thinking about blast if not full raw. Like you might as well consider blast as raw with an extra occasional oomph.
