Evade Window = More Invincibility Frames on Dodge.
Evade extender is a mixed bag for melee since it leaves you further away from the monster unlike Evade Window, I can guess that's why some people told you that Evade Window is "better" even though it works in a different fashion altogether, that said use whatever you want either way.
I don't play bad games so no idea about Rise.
well you miss out of one of the best roster in the whole series....
I was able to beat the first Alatreon fight solo with an incomplete build thanks in part to Evade Window 3 (5 would have been even better). I just took the build into the fight before the weapon had even been augmented just to test the concept, and I accidentally won. It made a world of difference even with me playing like a noob using an unfamiliar weapon.
evade window is for late dodging, to get more iframes.
To each their own, but you probably don't need both.
its also really good because albeit you dont increase your i-frames, you move away faster from the active hitbox of the monsters when you do so
