Just beat Safi'jiiva for the first time. Need help understanding weapons from it.

Every time you kill it will you have the option of picking more weapons with random awakened abilities or are you stuck with the ones you picked after your first killing? Is it worth to farm Safi'jiiva for the weapon over my Acid Shredder II. What awakened abilities should i go for for great sword?

How do you even find people doing it anyway? Is this game region locked or something.

You can reroll and add more abilities on it by using other stuff you get from safi siegie.
For GS you want as much attack as you can and maybe sharpness to get to purple.

To unlock the Safi'jiiva siege, you need to have completed the “Across the Lost Path” special assignment (indicated by a purple “!” in Seliana) to hunt a Stygian Zinogre. You also need to be at least Master Rank 24 or higher to be able to enter the siege.

you can get a new weapon everytime you beat safi. weapons are random tho except that you will get a guaranteed weapon that matches the type you used for the quest.
you can use materials gathered from safi to push the power level of the weapon higher. instead of choosing one of the upgrades you can also choose to "store potential". that way, the abilities that show up for you to select from have a chance of being a higher level for example attack increase 3 instead of attack increase 1

they are all elemental/status weapons which isn't usually something you go for on great sword as the weapon doesn't attack fast enough to make good use of it.

Yes, the lobby that is available to you is depend on your steam download region or something. So won't see player from asia if your region is europe for example.
