Banbaro help :D
Hey, I just started playing Iceborne, which I find a bit hard to play on my own. Does anyone want to come with me and kill some monsters together? :D: Banbaros, specifically, because I really like their armor. I already killed 1, but I struggled a lot and it's so much more fun to play in a team.

...Did you use the Defender armour/weapons when you played through the base game..? Asking for a friend.

Uuuh... yeah. I now know most players advise against it, but it was too late, when I learned it's basically a P2W armor + weapons. Maybe that's why I'm struggling. :skullgirl:
i hate to say it but your gonna have to do a lot of grinding in high rank to get any decent weapons for master rank yogo i recommend starting with the bone set its got high offensive ability's
as for banbaro hitting him with slinger ammo while hes charging helps a lot

Thanks for the tips! I don't mind grinding, honestly, I'm still learning the game, anyway, so it will be fun.
Defender gear doesn't have any master rank equivalent, so you'll want to switch as soon as possible to whatever craftable master rank gear you could get. From my experience, the Beotodus you kill at the start should be enough for a full set of armour, Banbaro armour is also a pretty comfy set to use since it gives you mushroomancer which allows for plentyful and fast healing using mandagora

MR Great Jagras Beta set is also a pretty cozy set until MR3. Speed Eating 1, Evade Extender 2, Attack Boost 2, Reocvery Up 2, and Free Meal 1. Slot in Vitality Deco's to get your health up. Also take the time to learn to tenderize and wallbang while you're farming MR Great Jagras, since that's going to be huge in shortening hunts and giving you attack opportunities in MR.
People sleep on the MR Vespoid set; it's unbelievably easy to get right off the bat (just go to the Rotten Vale and beat up Vespoids), and gets your defenses up high enough to survive the base-game-to-Iceborne damage spike. After that, you can at least take a hit from the monsters, and the rest comes naturally.
Don't be afraid to buy some starter weapons from the lady in the Workshop! They're all upgradeable with monster parts.

:steamthis: +1

But bear in mind you gotta be early. If it got tree branch or forming rolling rock already, best just to evade.
Banbaros are ugly.
Im down to play thru iceborne, I recently finished it again but as always im ready for another round

Thanks for all the help and tips, guys! I took my time and got all the ingredients required for the Banbaros set. I know everyone has different opinion, but I think it looks really cool and it's fairly strong, as far as I can tell. I will check both Jaggras and Vespoind, as well. I know Defender armor has no equivalent in Iceborne, so I will be switching as soon as possible.

Anyway, if anyone wants to play together (looking at you, Japanese Otter :D: ), feel free to hit me up!
I can help you out on farming a bit.

Sure thing! I'm always looking for new buddies to play with. :D:
