Rathian is not fun to fight

I got to the Pink version in the story. Like the regular one, this one flies a bunch and charges a bunch. I personally do like fighting this thing. Just frustrating and annoying.

I'm using a ranged weapon because melee feels miserable. I am using the Defender gear as well. During the fight I aim for the tail and than the wings. When I break the wings, I'm confused, what does it do? It still flies.

Any advice would be appreciated. Less I fight this thing the better

Which range weapon?
Best spot to hit are head, wings, and tails. The rest has kind of iffy dmg for range.

Use flash pods (crafted from flash bug) when it flys and it will come down.

If u go back to melee weapon. Go for tail first (if u have a slashing weapon), it uses a stronger poison than the one regular rathian uses.

you think pink is annoying w8 till you fight the the gold version. the fight is not that bad if you know what you're doing same goes for every fight.

Pinkie was a bit of a wall for me too, but she's largely just a faster, more aggressive Rathian.

Avoid her centre line, as that puts you in prime tail flip turf. Whilst she still has her tail, her spin attacks reach out a good way, which could surprise ranged weapon users.

Otherwise? Liberal use of flash pods and mounting attacks to keep her grounded, and focus a little more on not getting steam rolled when she gets the zoomies and starts trampling everyone.

If you're not sure you can land a hit safely, don't take the shot, get out of the way and wait for a new opening.

Consider using herbal remedy rather than antidotes too... They're much quicker to apply, which can make all the difference here.

Would be helpful if you specify the ranged weapon you're using.

Just deal damage and avoid her attacks, get used to her moveset, there's no other secret strat with Pink Rathian, it's one of the easiest monsters.

the purple booster also prevents/cures all blights and if you are within its reach you cannot fall asleep or get paralyzed.

You need to fight it only once.

If you're using a ranged weapon, break the wings for loot and then focus on the head to get stuns.

Flash pods are always great to have on hand to down flying monsters, get used to Flashbug spawns and put Flashpods on auto-craft

I find Rathians/Rathalos to be a better fight than most other monsters aside from the Deviljho.
