if you're using a shell: 'wide' lance, yes. and no, you wouldn't full burst a wide lance.

if you're using 'long' or 'normal', poke fire is not the best combo, you burst spam the normal lance, and use a different combo for 'long'

fullburst for normal shells, regular shelling for wide and charged shells for long.
fullburst combo is both attack buttons into both again into shelling button into either both buttons followed by quick reload or directly into quick reload after shelling and repeat.
wide is just shelling twice into quick reload repeat or poke shell poke repeat.
long is holding the shelling button down after an action like shelling or poking to charge the shells repeat. youd also use the wyrmstake cannon alongside long charged shells for more dmg - fastest combo for it is the load slinger action into both attack buttons twice.

You pretty much always want charge shells if you aren't using normal. Those + wyrmsteak actually make it good. Doing roughly 300+ per shell with wide.
