Furious Rajang is absolutely terrible

So, Rajang fight wasn't too terrible, but then I got to fight the Furious version for the event quest and that stupid monkey is, by a mile, the worst monster I've faced in the entire game, and let me tell you there was stiff competition.

The thing starts attacking and pretty much never stops. Most of his attacks are lightning fast, have near zero recovery time and/or move the monster half accross the map so there's barely any window of attack. Then it enrages and things get worse, making it move even faster and more erratically. Then it enrages AGAIN and the only thing I can do is make some distance and spend the next five minutes watching it do its thing in a fighting style reminiscent of the Tasmanian Devil, because if I get close I'm liable to get one-shotted by its exploding goomba stomp or the turbo-ultra-monkey-I-melt-your-face-lol-unskippable-death-combo grab despite me having 850+ defense.

The Handler helpfully advises me to slap his face to calm it down, but the space in front of it is full to capacity by knuckle sandwiches most of the time and by death lasers the rest, so slapping its behind is the way to go, but since finding a big enough window to tenderize is almost impossible, most of the time I do pitiful damage.

I want to clarify that I did eventually manage to best it and craft its Dual Blade weapon in one go (thank the gods for the Plunderblade and Melding), but it was a positively miserable 40m slog of a fight that I hope never to repeat and, taking into account that no one ever responded to my SOS's nor were there any SOS's to respond to, I gather that I'm not alone in the sentiment.

Rajang is inspired by Goku of dragon ball fame... Regular Rajang? he's taking it easy on you.

So yeah, in every game he attacks unreasonably fast, unreasonably often and unreasonably hard ;)

Fighting him is pretty much intended to be trauma inducing ;D Congratulations on getting the win!

I beat the normal rajang with choral. I think ill use shield spire against furious to make it a little more chill. Molotov feels too cheesy, considering how easy it should be to lure him into the volcano.

Fury Rajang is game of chance if you want to smack its head alone. I personally only attack its face if I'm confident there's zero retaliation such as when it shoot laser on me. And lots and lots of wall bang.

yup its very very hard, i had to swtich to sns because any attacks with high commitment will get you killed

If there's one monster that deserves all the cheese in the universe it's this one. Make fondue outta him.

normal rajang is by far the worse of the two

run in circles and hit the tail till i fall over unless im near a wall

or

aggro monkey with big attacks that do big damage but also have big openings.

is DB a good match up on F rajang?

I just reached regular Rajang. Reasonable crash out.
Felyne insurance is goated. I cant imagine trying to fight it with something other than LS to counter. I usually use CB but I cant morph to axe before its off at lightspeed to violate me. What a bizarre design.
