Mid to late game master rank GS sets?
Hi fellow hunters,

I'm at a weird point where I don't know which set is good rn for a GS build. I'm using the royal gs (the one with the water damage and decent raw) with the velkhana armor and the Damascus chest and some decorations that bring the whole thing together (crit draw, affinity for guaranteed critical draws, attack up, elemetless, focus, unflinching and some others) but I've seen builds still using the acid shredder 2 combined with teostra pieces and some other high slot pieces.. Sadly I have not unlocked teostra for master rank yet which makes it impossible to farm and I also lack the top tier decorations for such a insanely good build.. I mean they fit handicraft, agitator, weakness exploit and tons of affinity into one set and even manage to pile defensive things on top of that..

Now I want to know if I can still keep my set.. I swapped some parts around for an ice glaive build to deal with alatreon and raging brachy (every group wipes at alatreom) and I'm kinda getting my ass handed to me..

I feel like I'm at this weird point between mid and end game and my sets are everything but optimized and I have no idea how to fix that.

Thanks in advance for any discounter GS build ideas or general help on how to handle the more intense fights.

The fights are intended to be done with endgame gear. None of it is limited by time or event anymore, so just get to MR100 and farm.

For mid to late I'd suggest going for a Critical Draw build as Hit&Run is great for facing new monsters. That said, good slottage and raw are a good target. If you go down the Jagras line you can get either Deathclaw II (double 3 slots) or Mammoth Greataxe II (single 4 slot). Both benefit from Elementless.

Is there any way to get MR 100 faster or a specific route that players recommend? Seems like a huge grind atm and I'm like MR 46
Shara Ishvalda greatsword or if too Great Jagras Greatsword with 3 levels of quick draw/sheathe speed and frostcraft (Velkhana's armour)

So far for me I done from MR 36 into 56 (?) its quicker if you go for Guiding lands and if you got a good 3 player, keep killing until they stop. it will give you alot of MR

i used to have this, i finish my iceborne story with only gs from start to finish

i memory serves the last build i use until the very end of the story is 4 pieces of velkhana and the last piece i forgot about it and i use velkhana sword too also earplug lvl 5 i think

also use paralyze weapon for your pokemon it's called valley something and i still use it until today that weapoin really helps especially when you're using gs

Since you're using frostcraft, try to make the last set cause punish draw is extremely good. You only need to fight frostfang barioth which isn't too hard.

When safi comes back, you can farm for the safi ice and/or fire GS for alatreon. For missing decorations just slot in vitality boost, evasion, or whatever you have really.
