Mods and getting banned
I have an Xbox save with nearly 600 hours of playtime but since i have now built a new PC I knew transferring my save would probably not be possible. I don't exactly want to put in another 500+ hours trying to rebuild all my armors, weapons and gems. I have read that at least as of last summer you did not get banned for using mods. I have also read that it was probably possible to rebuild my save using a mod. Is it still possible to use that mod to try to recreate my Xbox save without getting banned?

There's no ban system in place. Go nuts.

I got banned from MHW and can no longer play online. Mod at your own risk:Altina:

Thats ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, there is no Vac protection on this game or any other anti-cheat software, all you risk is corrupting your safefile if you mess up.

You can do whatever you want, there's no risk of a ban. I recommend QoL mods like; light pillars, invisible mantles, no elder fog and decorations assorted by name. You can use the all item shop cheat, and a save editor to quickly match what you already had.

Enjoy the best version of World and happy hunting.

I think I'll just play the game again and hope for better luck getting the nice jewels, I don't want to risk getting banned from multiplayer. Will only give me an excuse to sink another 600 hours into this game while I wait for Rise to launch on PC.

"thou shalt not lie" have you ever heard of it?

it is pretty pathetic that some people fall so deep, because they have a problem with mods and cheats.

let op go nuts, if he wants so, there is no punishment from capcom.
mods is a part of the pc experience, but they aren't supported.

It can mess your savefile, if you use them in the false ways and won't read the small printed. for example some people encountered issues with unlocking certain quest, while having used certian mods.

There is no risk of getting banned. Those guys just lie because they think cheating in a non-competitive game is evil.

I used mods to recreate my PS4 save when I came over to PC, and that was when World first came out on PC. I haven't been banned at all. There is no ban system in place. As long as you install the mods correctly and are being mindful of what you're doing, you can mod the game silly with no issue.

Just saying here as a nearly 2k hours player, playing since release, THERE IS NO BAN SYSTEM, you can literally do what you want, the worst you will get is going offline but you can instantly reconnect (it happens when you alter some values that the game can't sync with online, so it's just a network crash), don't listen to people here talking about bans cuz no one has ever and will ever be banned, even for the worst thing like one shotting stuff around and I'm not joking

Let them cry in their own cringe, Capcom has always been positive towards modding in everyone of their games (look at Resident Evil for example) but these people can't accept it
