MHStories 2 question - Rajang eggs

Sorry for asking it here but the MHS2 page is a desert now

So, what is the earliest moment i can get a Rajang egg in MHS2 story mode ? I'm about to face the 3rd raging monster in that quest where we go back to previous regions to investigate 3 purple glowing holes after facing Nergigante

And how hard is to get it after it's made avaliable? Can it be found in random nests or i'll to make Rajang retreat ?

Finish the game , unlock high rank , do an snowy mountain den (or smth like that) with a golden ticket , chance to get an egg , but you will have a pretty hard fight , scaled to a bit higher level than post story , so you'd want to farm a bit.

i havent played in forever so i cant give you more info but next time its probably just more efficient to search on google any questions about stories, even closer to when it released the steam forums were still not the most useful

I did search on google but found most people talking about post game stuff

I had hope to find him during the story but i'm right know in the final mission and no Rajang at all

Do you guys know how popular Stories 1 and 2 are within the MH community? Is it well received or most dont like ?

well i think it is a high rank only monster or the equivalent, so it would be found in postgame only iirc, or just whenever you unlock that area / quest / whatever the earliest. i remember the first game better and i believe a lot of the monsters were only unlocked postgame because high rank was only a postgame thing, genuinely dont remember if its the same with this one

of course stories is well liked but its a spinoff, so of course its just not as popular as the main MH games, its very different gameplay after all (and personally i didnt think #2 was worth the full price). so yeah, still cool, just more niche

Yeah, just beat the game and unlocked the HR stuff
I think the story should have covered both LR an HR and the post game be MR

You think the first is better ? I have MHS1 but didnt play it yet, started with 2 to play coop with a friend, and now i'm thinking if i should give MHS1 a try

nah mhst2 is superior in almost every aspect, only things i think 1 did better was the combat being more random and i liked climbing the tower in postgame. oh and also the genes visually affecting monsters and changing their colours, i always forget that was a thing lol

i just think 2 was literally not worth the full price, it cost the exact same as MHW or MHR did when they first released, and for a spinoff with less content and not much QoL that is just silly. iirc about $90 aud, i think they lowered it a while ago now to a much fairer price since but im too lazy to check by how much
