Bruh Tigrex's hit box is so busted lol.
Before I hear "Tigrex was much hard back in my day" just reeee, it was mostly harder because back pre MHW the controls where super clunky. Anyways How many years has it been since tigrex was released? Almost a decade maybe even more? I watch a fair amount of MH videos and literally that has always been one of the main if not biggest complaint about Tigrex... Like it might not be as bad, but he is the only monster I notice a bad hit box. Every other monster ive faced thus far has a pretty good hitbox, its actually shocking how good MH hit boxes are!

Either way half the time I get hit or even if I die it feels unfair. Like you will dodge and he will still hit you with his side wings that are a few feet away. Knocking you down and or knocking you out. Then he comes back jumps over you and that some how hits when its even further away. Like it wouldnt be bad but literally his entire move set is him charging. I still beat him in my first try in 25 minutes with subpar gear so he isnt like actually hard. Infact the only reason he is slightly hard is due to his hit box. I assume it has always been that way. Even in MHR he is even easier in that game yet I still get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up by him the most cuz his hit box is just poop :shit:

I cannot imagine playing vs him when he was released with clunky controls lol. He is a pretty intense fight though. And he is good to fight with daggers since most of his body is unprotected, IE the body parts daggers can hit the easiest. I doubt i'd hardly have this issue with a weapon that has a shield. But anyways, was his hitbox even worse in older games? I feel like it would have been a little better since there was not as many polygons in monsters thus making it easier to manage a hitbox.

LOL, I literally googled Tirex hitbox, and its pages of complaints. So this post is kinda redundant lol.

It seems like a feature since pretty much every tigrex has those...

I really don't know how they have not solved it. Like they have more complex monsters in these games that have much better hit boxes. Like literally any serpent monster is more complex with how it moves. Like I can understand some hitbox issues but this is like actually just bad.

Freedom 2 was released back in 2007, so it's been 15 years.

Other notable mentions that are in world from old-old gen games:
Diablos
Rajang
All hip checks

No matter what he will be annoying no matter the game or style of monster :^). I mean daggers do have an option to dodge, issue is the dodge period of the B move is shorter than his charge attack so you still get hit :^)

You can't actually dodge the charge if you are at close range in front of the head. The best way to avoid it is to never be in front of the head, stick to the claws or tail.

I think you can if you have evade window extender and or evade distance prolly both.

Oh yeah, his hitboxes ARE ass. Not gonna defend this one. I find Barioth way easier simply because Barioth's hitboxes are much cleaner.

The best way to deal with Tigrex is to roll completely out of the way or superman dive if you can't make it. And you gotta do it 3 times in a row, as he usually charges thrice before ending in a tailspin.

Brute is WAY easier to fight than normal, because sometimes instead of charging he roars.

the way I dealt with him was just to use daggers on a downward hill and spin over him constantly a lot of times you can dodge his charge :^)

Probably, although I don't use those skills as I feel that if I do, I'll end up relying on them and be unable to go back. I'm not going to say they're "easy mode" or anything as you're giving up slots tho. This might just be because I play SnS and have a panic guard option for attacks I can't dodge however.

same, plus I'd rather just use like Speed eater :^) Speed eat feels so op in this game, with how slow the healing potion takes to chug

They did fix it. in 4U. Then they somehow ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it up and made it worse lmao.
