How to tell if enraged monster is captureable?
I just hunted Yian Garuga for first time and it got enraged before death without showing any signs of limping. I did notice it getting very exhausted but didn't realise it's already captureable.
I really hate slaying mosters when I can cap them instead, and have trouble capturing new mosters that don't show skull icon for me yet.
Any tips for capturing monsters that prefer to go full ham instead of limping and running/flying away?

Most monsters will drop slinger ammo when they reach 30%, 20%, and 10% Health. Most monsters can be captured at 25% Health, so the second ammo drop is your cue. Note that certain monsters seem to only be capturable at 15-10% Health, like the metal Rath, so I'm not sure about Yian Garuga. Anyway, with enough experience, you'll know roughly when a monster is captureable, depending on your average completion time, and the monster's behavior (when a Rath is stumbling all over the place, it's a good indicator to stop attacking and place a trap, for example.)

i tend to use the heart rate below their icon in the bottom right, if its flat lining then they are close to death. This can be a bit tougher when a monster is enraged tho as the rate tends to fluctuate. The other option is to pick up some more tracks so the icon gets a green border, this will show the status on the minimap, then u can trap when you get a skull.

some monsters have physical signs of weakness, yan garuga for instance will lower his ears backwards.

Didn't know about slinger ammo drops, very helpful, thanks myhr2!
I forgot to mention I do try to look for heartbeat indicator, but when monster is enraged it's pretty useless.

Pretty sure the skull only shows up when it tries to run back to nest to sleep/switch area. Otherwise there's no skull. This makes capture in the Arena especially tricky.
