Bird and Piscine Wyverns need love!
My title says it all.

The most interesting Bird Wyverns are Garuga and Scarred, and Coral Pukeface.

Coral Pukeface is trash tier if you have end game IB gear/decos, and Garuga is kinda lame, more like a wanna be Rathalos with its fire/poison attacks.

Not going to even talk about Piscine Wyverns as all three of them are garbage tier. I honestly can't remember the last time I fought a Beo or Jyura. And I only farmed Lavasioth for the Shield Jewel.

Ok but most bird wyverns are weaker monsters with garuga being one of the strange ones while i'd love to see kut ku make a return in a future game.

Nobody wants to see more picine wyverns till they find something actually interesting to do with it every single one i've fought was forgettable or it was plesioth.

Thing with Piscine wyverns is: What can they really do with them?

They're basically just a head, a body, and a tail. Their legs and 'arms' are too stubby to do anything with so they can't even kick or swipe. Mash Beotodus and Lavasioth together and you basically reach their pinnacle regarding moveset.

The only unique thing they're equipped to do, swim, needs an environment to operate in Which is why Jyuratodus and Beotodus didn't make it to the Guiding Lands, there's no deep water or snow for them to work with, and if they added an area with those features it would only benefit them.

For the most part Leviathans would be the late game Piscine Wyverns, we just don't have any in World. In a similar manner Flying Wyverns are essentially the late game version of Bird Wyverns (especially the Pukei/Paolumu style).

The 'Ya-Ku' Bird wyverns broadly suffer from the same problems as the Piscine Wyverns, their bodies are very simple, though they do have more potential than the fish because their arms and legs are capable of being used for more than just locomotion.

Piscine wyverns would be more interesting if they had more areas to exist in... Nobody wants to be stuck in the two areas where those monsters matter. It'll feel like guiding lands all over again. Which is monotony.

Bird wyverns... I guess the best one I ever fought was quadrapeco. I don't expect much from them... I guess the only thing that sucks is that they don't really get powered up versions. I guess kulu had a powered up version with the FF behemoth collab, but otherwise, only pukei pukei and garuga got the tempered love.

I miss tiny yian kut ku with the massive fireball damage. But I think I would want more areas, or better quests before I want to ask for better bird wyverns, but the way they deliver content, those areas will be an easy sweep for anyone coming from endgame... for obvious reasons.

I wouldn’t mind Qurupeco and “Hip Check” Plesioth making a come back. The first would add some more nice monster interactions, and the latter would just be a nice change of pace for piscine wyverns.

Its time for Gypceros to make its glorious return.
