I need tips and tricks killing Diablos and a Rathalos as a solo and using Great Sword.
Sorry if I been posting a lot of post for tips and tricks since I don't do most of the quest co-op and I only done 2 quest with co-op, if you give me tips, I'll be thankful :D

flash for rath, screamer for diablos. For rath, when not enraged, clutch wall bang. When enraged, flash or if you have glider mantle, clutch into let go which auto floats you for aerial mounting attack, or use environmental. For diablos, learn to shoulder charge , aim kinda at the neck (there's a spot where you won't bounce and it's still weakspot, when it burrows use screamer pod at where it's buried b4 it burrows to u and murders you (gotta wait for full burrow tho). For palico, flashfly cage makes it relatively easy. Free flashes and shock traps. Don't let diablos burrow under shock trap : you can try to bait by standing a bit in front of the trap (in between trap and diablos), and superman dive last second to lure into trap for ez damage.

Assuming nonMaster rank, for diablos if you bring sonic bombs, you're able to use them after he digs into the ground (as long as he isnt enraged) and he'll popup slightly and be stuck for a small window; for rathalos, bring some extra antipoison items?

Can bring flashbombs and flash the hell outa both of them, bring extra trap making components, and adopt a hit'n'run strat and just take a little bit of extra time to fight.

If everything else fails, grab slinger ammo and use it until they stagger or get tired. Then hit while they are tired. Face hits are most important if you have to resort to using your slinger.

Including all the above, keep trying (and practice). The more you face them, the more you'll get used to what moves they will have. Good luck!

dont forget use the weakness elemental damage for that monster

For Diablos, dodge it's charges and counter during it's recovery.

That's pretty much it. Diablos is a very simple fight.

It's much easier to just Charge Blade it because it's so easy to Guard Point everything it does and AED/SAED counter it.

Oh damn I joined a quest that is doing the same quest as me and they completed it, now it made it a easier :( I just sold the loot I also didn't do something since when I was there the quest was complete, any idea how to fight it again?

Blocking decimates Diablos. He has absolutely no tools to make you think about your block and he's very slow and predictable so consider a shield weapon. You could block some of the burrow attacks with your GS if you really want to stick with it, his mixups on the burrow timing can be really hard to learn.

There's not too many game changing tips for Rathalos. He's very pattern based so just try to take note of what order he does certain moves because he will do it again. Just try to identify when it's your turn to attack rather than always trying to land hits on him.

diablos

shield weapon with guard 1/3 help a lot in this fight. if you are in front, watch out of its head, side rather safe, it only got body slam attack that not much it use, from back it got tail swipe, the hitboxes should be on the end of tail. so if you hug it leg from side it is rather safe. if you are far when it burrows you can try screamer pot. if you are near, try to avoid the attack, superman dive/guard.

rathalos

it is just like rathian but rath whole body charge is change by fireball. try to wait it land or force it down with flash. it trip rather easily, you can try hit it legs but beware of poison. herbal medicine help a lot (only 5, but easy to use)

Check for investigations. You can also see if you have an arena quest for it in your optional quests.

Legends has it I am still struggling against Diablos and Rathalos.
Learn their attack patterns and strike when there's an opening. hit & run tactic is good for gs.
stay away from diablos' head/horns, you usually do less damage attacking them than other parts of his body (unless you want to break them). once he starts digging, sheathe your weapon and run, you don't need to do anything more than that.
when rathalos flies dont be afraid to just charge right at him and slap his feet or tail. his fireballs are pretty easy to dodge if you stay focused, and when he's in the air try not to stand directly beneath him for too long as iirc he likes to poke you with his toes
keep moving, learn their attack patterns. most of their attacks you can roll right through; otherwise always roll sideways of them.
don't run directly back away from them or directly towards them, unless they are downed/ there is an opening
don't commit to any combos while either of them are moving or in their own attacks. don't commit to charging your weapon when they are moving. stay focused, stay moving, stay alive

//i don't really know what else to add, unless you wanted to play together so i could see how you fight and offer tips that way

You will have an optional for them it's perfectly normal to struggle with diablos at first once you learn his timings he won't seem as fast a neat thing to note if you stand in front of a spire you can get his horns stuck in it
