how do I call a second cat and a gastodon?

I just saw a video where the player calls a second cat, a lynian? and a gastodon, how do I do that??

Do the quests related to the new tribe in iceborne and you'll unlock a new palico tool that lets you call once per quest. To get started, you'll need to do the unlisted challenge of capturing a monster in view of them. You'll need to do this in an expedition.

If playing by yourself you can sometimes find the palicos hanging around the map of people who you shared a guild card with (ie befriended ingame) during quests. Just approach them with your palico and it will join your hunt.

After completing the palico gadget quests, I think just get the molotov cocktail, you will then in the Horfrost Region be able to do a quest to get the final gadget which unlocks calling animals to support in fights or ride them in the map.

you need the "tailraider signal" palico gadget for it. to get that you need to complete a series of boboa quests.

1: Unlock all the other palico gagdets from the main game.

2: Talk to the Lynian Researcher in Seliana, he will then tell you about the Boaboa tribe in Hoarfrost Reach.

3: Travel there, and hunt a large monsters in front of Boaboas.

4: Accept the quest form Boboa leader for hunting a Tempered Beotodus.
