If you just finished the base game consider farming a lot the tempered monsters to get jewels, augmentations for your weapon and better armor. Behemot is not scaled for solo hunting (but doable in solo), and with an optimized equipment in mind.

Honestly, just go to Iceborne. Behemoth will not give you anything useful for Iceborne. It's a challenge I agree, but not worth the time now.

Anyway, if you want some reference for Chargeblade, your best bet is this : https://mhwbuilds.net/high-rank-charge-blade-builds/ (here for high rank, but simply select master rank once you're in Iceborne).

Absolutely get a full party that at the least somewhat know what their doing for this guy. Also here’s a nice vid detailing the fight. https://youtu.be/a6wtqX7Rn0w

Behemoth is not meant to be taken on solo, so get a team if you didn't yet.

I would take the lunastra armor for the jewel slots and free mind's eye, get earplug 5. and hit that sos flare as hard as you can...

if you don't think you can bring enough damage, do not auto approve your quests and cherry pick who can come... but if you do that, make sure you have wide range 5 and baby your team.

Not moving around while you have a mantle on pauses the timer. So find a nice place to set up away from the group, but close enough to heal and run for a comet when the meteor drops, and heal your teammates. When behemoth was brand new I either had to go full sweaty dps to beat him in a team of 2. Or practically do nothing because everyone else was cluster bombing the monster so much that every time I would get close it would be surfs up... and I'd wipe out.

Extreme behemoth... yeah... that same strategy... actually was the go to way to beat it. make sure you bring astera jerky for when behemoth feels like taking 70-80 % of your teammates health away. It'll heal all of their red health and save you a few potions.

Great video XD

I would like to add few things:

1. There are 2 paths Behemoth can go. Into Nergigante's nest OR into Teostra's nest. To decide on which path Behemoth would take, it depends on if you can break any of Behemoth's body parts (I found cutting the tail easiest). Say if you snap Behemoth's tail off in Zone 1 or Zone 2, Behemoth will head towards Nergigante (I would say a better path).

2. It is much easier to grab Enmity with Iceborne. All you had to do is clutch claw to the face then do the Tenderise attack (only players who purchased Iceborne can do this). Basically 2 tenderise attack should be enough to grab Behemoth's Argo. If not, just give it a few more hits (normally no more than 3 hits after the 2 tenderise).

3. Apart from eating at the camp, you can also stay in the tent to avoid death during Eciliptic meteor. If you went back to the camp, and saw the ground shaking real bad, stay inside.

4. You CAN practice Final Fantasy Emo jump while behind the rock. If your timing is correct, you'll find your character landed where the meteor hits the ground, not behind the boulder where you perform the initial jump.

5. There are 2 signs when Behemoth cast the Eciliptic meteor:
1. The callouts on the right hand screen
2. When your screen camera suddenly ZOOMS OUT.

Behemoth wasn't meant to be play solo he has 35k hp even AT monster in solo scenario only has 25kish hp

back in base game when iceborne wasn't a thing yet i spend almost whole month almost 2 attempt to solo him and finally succeed added more to be consistent

i'm a LS main using same build here in this video except i running mind'eye and health regen augmentation

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WHAXU3Vvx-k

that being said he's definitely solo-able but you need a lot of practice against him

i only have small charge blade experience so i can't recommend anything

two thing i recommend is look up a guide on how to use jump emote to dodge ecliptic meteor

there's bunch of them on youtube it'll save you some headache in long run

also watch a solo speedrun of behemoth with your weapon of choice you don't have to kill as fast or imitate the run but look for general thing what do speedrunner do against behemoth in certain situation or how to deal with certain moves it helps a lot and i did the same when i was practicing solo behemoth with LS aside from playing i watch a lot of LS speedrun

there was one time i was helping SOS Extreme Behemoth in last phase we deal too much damage Behemoth cast ecliptic meteor without comet

i know jump timing but i think it's over cause it's 4 people and surprisingly everyone knows jump timing and 4 of us jump it all of us survive the meteor and it was a very beautiful scenery if you ask me
