Yes, but it's not worth it if you don't have fatalis gear (and by then, you don't need Safi anymore). It will take longer than doing it with a random group, which is the intended way of doing sieges.

you can solo safi if all the energy is depleted or drained.

possible. but very tiring and will take a long time cuz of the Time Limit and the Total Amount of Damage you have to deal to Drain energy
also you gonna need a very solid gear/build to deal good damage to Safi

Safi Armor is very good tho especially if u play elemental wpn/builds

Safi's able to scale for solo now, but the siege mechanics are still built for multiplayer. Think of it like this: Safi now has a lot less health for you to work through, but all the levels' energy takes forever to drain because you're the only one participating in the siege. If you're in a full lobby doing the siege, you can do solo runs to help it progress faster, just expect other teams to kill him before you do.

I tried to solo his enegy all down to the point you can kill him. Took me 5 hours alone. I would not recommend doing Safi alone like I did. Better find a groupe that do him and together with other groupes you will all make his energy go down pretty fast.

It's possible but, I highly recommend to fight with at least 2 players.

taking all the aggro from Safi can be very annoying, even with your palico around.

yes but why should someone want this.. safi will always have the same HP and you have only negatives by playing it solo..
most important.. you want that other player focus on part breaking too..

i still didnt got any aquashot LBG... i gave up on safi a long time ago..

I ground out the energy drain a while ago once, never again, I don't even care about ele it was more just to do it

Don't solo it if you value your time and sanity, but you absolutely can, it is literally just wearing down a series of three bars over the course of hours
