There are no particular quests which give more tickets, although the chance does increase if you play at a higher rank (so you can farm them by doing some stupid gathering quest that takes 1 minute)
Wearing the full set of armour that you craft using the regular tickets will give you a skill that increases the VIP ticket drop rate.
The regular tickets are used to either craft armour pieces or to make some consumable items such as fireworks or snowmen, meanwhile the VIP tickets are used to craft a layered version of these armours (cosmetics that you can wear above your real armour).
Although I do use the Rose chest piece in one of my builds since it has 3 levels in the attack boost skill along with decent decoration slots in master rank. So, take a look at the pieces individually, and figure out if their skills might be helpful for you or not.
The main prize to be honest is the layered armour that you can craft with VIP tickets, farming for cosmetics is the main attraction of the end game after all.
So the only thing that you have to look for is collecting event tickets as you play the game which will allow you to craft event armor, normal tickets for high rank gear, and VIP tickets for master rank gear (only attainable if you have iceborne dlc and already started it).
