I believe TCS got nerfed because your other moves hit harder, so instead of going for TCS every time the game incentives you to be patient and punish attacks with heavy counters, and with the wound system you can get access to a TCS much faster
Your TCS still hit harder than anything else, and the ability to aim means you will also miss less often. Overall the damage output will be higher.
What do they do instead? Make the weebs go unga bunga left right and center... Even bows, out of all the weapons, got the most out of the new additions.
Wilds will be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for a bit when it launches that's for sure.
You're not playing with GS that i can tell.
You're just mad you don't just tackle and TCS all day anymore
yes yes the classic GS is my second third 5 and 10th weapon. What's your first? LS. CLASSIC.
Now, to go back to your ''arguments'':
More moves: rising slash can be charged and counter a monster's attack to follow with a lunging double swing and then a strong charge or a strong wide slash.
You can actually block attacks without going through your sharpness like butter, and clash counter with either normal or perfect guard.
You can break wounds and immediately get access to a TCS
You can sneak attack and it actually does a ton of damage
More mobility: You can aim your attacks much better in focus mode, you can do a 180 when doing a TCS.
You can actually move a bit while charging too, and sheathing is smoother.
Damage: if you would actually have given it a try you'd realise that you overall do more damage than before, but jumping to conclusion and complaining instead of learning the new thing is what bad hunters usually do
Sure LS has even more gimiks.. but you must learn to play it to benefit from it.. GS is not longer a hard to master weapon.
It would be nice to see more diversity instead of GS, LS, and/or CB in 95+ percent of hunts, and a great way to promote diversity is to make weapons perform more closely to one another.
It doesn't feel like a GS. It feels like a normal stick... This is a huge sword, this should feel like Berserk. Now i feel like i'm playing Cloud Strife.... Instead of feeling like you're dominating the monster you feel like the last noob jsut executing moves cause why not. There's no substance to the weapon anymore. It doesn't even feel like you're doing any dmg it's just a normal wepaon. Nothiing special.
Worst of it is that Hammer got almsot the same treatement. A HH feels more like ah ammer than hammer....
They are jsut tryign to make people play these back drawer weapons more by doing some flashy moves that we never cared about. All i want i to feel like i'm swinging a giant ass sword with powerful moves. Not stand there like an idiot aiming like i'm in a tps so i can feel good about my tiny puny sword poking some tiny lil wound so i can then scratch it off him. Stupid changes.
On this note i'm not arguing more came here to say GS is garbo and if i have to look like some 2 brain cells flashy move weebo i might aswell something more satisfying to play like Charge Blade.
Enjoy your incredible new move cause they put so much effort into making the most powerful weapon look liek your grandma broom.
Nothing forces you to use it, seems like you just can't adapt to the new mechanics and move set.
With the new counters and power clash it really does feel like you're dominating the monster, maybe that's because I got familiar with the new mechanics I don't know
