So does everyone use charge blade now or something? I used to play this game on PS4 years ago and recently jumped back in on PC and seems like everyone I run into now is using CB. Is this now the only weapon of choice or something?

CB in wilds is really fun to play. But there are still wya more LS and Dual blades weebs.

The first Wyverian (NPC you can find in the wild) says that the weapons popularity are the following:

1: Long Sword (23%)

2: Great Sword (10%)

3: Bow (10%)

4: Dual Blades (9%)

5: Charge Blade (8%)

6: Insect Glaive (8%)

7: Heavy Bowgun (7%)

8: Hammer (5%)

9: Switch Axe (5%)

10: Light Bowgun (5%)

11: Sword & Shield (3%)

12: Gunlance (3%)

13: Hunting Horn (2%)

14: Lance (2%)


So you probably just got lucky

Damn the lance is really below HH? I’ve never played it so I don’t know if it’s any good but hunting horn is miserable solo.

As a HH main I beg to differ, it shines brighter in multiplayer but it still does a fantastic job even solo once you've got the movet down

lol i complete a full HH run till end game with only that and its amazing especially when u already master the weapon moveset

u proly still don't see the charm yet but HH is actually rly strong even in Solo (heck in solo its prty good as Solo GS i would say)

Miserable solo!? That weapon is insanely powerful. Quick walking speed, good melee range, easy to stun, and the songs allow ton of adaption toward any monsters thx to immunities you give yourself.

Playing hunting horn with a friend, and we're reached seething bazelgeuse while most fights has been stun locking fest.

HH is hammer with reach, you just max slugger and beat the living ♥♥♥♥ out of anything you come across, it's insane, I haven't tried it on AT velk or Fata yet otherwise I know you can handle anything, just tried it for a playthrough for fun

On the charge blade front nah it's not the most popular like the stats confirm, it's just a very rewarding weapon to learn and it's not nearly as super complicated as people like to meme about. It also has super dopamine generators in the SAED and guard points and stuff. Only thing I dislike is feeling clunky sometimes with sheathing and move speed but it's not enough to make it not fun, and wilds solves a lot of annoying stuff with it so I prolly main it in that for a while

Regarding the stats, I seen those too but since they're over a year old they're not really relevant anymore. That's why I was curious what the boards here had to say.

Back several years ago when I was playing on PS4 I was a CB user and rarely ever saw it. But since Ive recently come back to play and now on PC I been seeing it A LOT when joining others. So I was like what's going on?

I absolutely love when playing with HH players. The buffs are wonderful and the HH tends to break stuff often which means lots of sparkly goodies!

longsword will in wilds be still number 1... it is even stronger in wilds than in world..

CB was always really popular with western players. The devs even commented on it previously.
