Help: What to do next?
Hello there guys!

I've recently finished the Iceborne story and I am a bit overwhelmed with the HUGE AMOUNT of stuff that I can do. My question is: what is the most important thing to do right now? Should I level the Guiding Lands (I haven't unlocked Yian Garuga yet, but I fought Zinogre/Styg Zinogre and Rajang) or jump into Safijiva/F Rajang/ Raging Brachy? Am I too weak to tackle those monsters?

If it helps: I use LS and sometimes HBG. I have the 3 Teo pieces as armor + some Handicraft armor. AS weapons, I have the Hellish Slasher, Guild Palace LS (upgraded fully), Kadachi Daito 2, Crimson Viperfang 2, Acidic Scimitar 2, Empyrean, Blossom +.

What weapons/armor should I focus on getting next and what monster to tackle?

Thx for help :)

Keep in mind that Safi will be gone on the 22/23. Do the Safi recon a few times to see if it's something you think you can handle, and if so it might be a good idea to go ahead and run the siege a few times just to get a few weapons and dracolite to awaken them.

Otherwise, I would just focus on doing Guiding Lands and/or getting to MR100 so you can do R12 augments. Also augment your armor and max any charms you have. Raging and Furious aren't too bad but they do hit very hard, so I'd recommend just trying them out to see if it's something you think you could reasonably do.

Yep, kill everything you find in the guiding lands. You need their unique parts to make lots of stuff. Remember that monsters have both unique normal and tempered drops there, and that 1 point in geology allows you to loot each of (most monster's drops) twice.

For weapons, Safi, Raging Brachy, and Furious George are top-tier stuff.

He has to unlock all areas in GL to get Safi recon.

The next step will be the Guiding Lands and boosting your MR. The GL are a special area where it's an endless Expedition, and the more you hunt in an area, the higher level it gets, unlocking more monsters. The GL also have special loot only obtainable there, used for Augmentation, aka, upgrading your gear further. You can use augments to, let's say, give your weapon extra affinity, or slots, or give your armor more defense. Your true goal, however, is MR100, with the REALLY good loot locked behind that. Things like Health Augment for weapons, essentially healing as you hurt monsters, is a godsend, as well as increasing the amount of times you can augment your weapon.
If you want some good, early, augments, head into the GL and focus on killing monsters in the Forest region until it reaches lvl 4, thats kinda the GL tutorial. There's also plenty of event quests available currently to help boost MR.

OP said they'd already done Rajang and Stygian, though, unless I'm not properly understanding how unlocking regions work. I assumed that completing those quest chains unlocked them.

Tempered zinogre event quest for best deco farm at this time.

Depending on which weapons are your favorite, do some research on other event quests that produce event-exclusive weapons you may want. Granted, they're all outclassed by safi and brachy weapons, but some are still useful.

I wasn't aware that Safi would only last for a few more days (it's probably in order not to distract from AT Namielle and MR Kulve... I remember all the fuss about Kulve weapons back in the basic game meta).

I guess I'll be doing the Smaug wannabe first to see how it goes and after that I'll head into GL/optionals to raise the mr and get augments.

Thx a lot everyone :)
