Point of No Return Recon Mission Question? (PS4)
What exactly are you supposed to do with this mission?
All i get with the mission's information is "investigate the target". That's fine and dandy, but what EXACTLY am i supposed to do?
I see that the handler is trying to provide you information, but by the time you turn to look at the text, Safi'Jiva is already about to fire another blast at you, so paying attention to that is out of the question if your being constantly bombarded. I can barely hear the handler over the intense music of the game and it takes too long for the handler to repeat herself. It's takes so long that I'm left constantly running for my life avoiding the laser blasts and its aimbot nonsense. With this said, I think this mission is extremely confusing and overall vague on important information. Thus why I've come here to ask anyone who has done this what you're supposed to do in this recon mission?

Do enough Damage to drive it to 2nd level and when it use it utimate you would have cleared it. The quest is to let you get use to first 2 area of the seige and mechanic.

I think i understand what you're saying, but can you better clarify?
What you said seems like a bit of a jumble of text.

Straight up fight it?!
From what I've observed, that doesn't seem like a smart idea, especially soloing it.
Getting any help is out of the question since no one on console is doing the mission. I checked myself for any available lobbies or SOS flares, nothing...

The recon isnt that hard and is pretty much solo friendly
And is there a reason why you ask in steam for the pc version for a console version?
You should have more success in searching for help in the Monster Hunter Gathering Hall discord

it's a pretty decent "dry run" introduction for the real fight, it's a straight up fight, but it's balanced pretty well for solo play.
also: if you can't handle the recon you're not ready to try the siege.

The recon isnt that hard and is pretty much solo friendly, but if you need help post your session id
"Solo friendly", I don't think so.... especially since I'm being laser blasted every second with little to no room to breathe. Ohh and one aimbot laser blast i have to juke. Already tried to call for help three times and each time, no one responded. If no one else is doing it, then it stands to reason no one will come to help with it.

Literally use any blast weapon and attack anywhere. He has no HP and is solo scaled in the repel.

He will stop tracking just before he fires I suggest you solo it because you clearly need to practice before doing safi for real take your time and learn to dodge

"Clearly need to practice", clearly you need to learn to read. I can dodge it just fine, but when it comes to the information, that's where I've been struggling. The handler tries to tell me, but I can't look away from Safi'Jiva or I'm gonna get lasered and the music just obstructs her voice. I came here for information on the recon mission, not to "hear" you indirectly insult me.

What you said seems like a bit of a jumble of text.

First area :The handle would point out failing boulder for massive damage(there are 2 of those), decayed ground flinch it while it on top of it will trap it.
You can move/guide it to those enviroment trap above by hitting opposite side of when you want it to go.(that how i remember it)

Second area: Remember behemoth, Safi got laser target and area wipe out attack. The rock pillar are your lifeline hide from the blast zone and you will clear it

Turn music down voices up its not complicated it's a simple teaser to the fight for people to learn from

You can ignore the handler advice and still clear as long as you don't cart and did enough damage until safi used it "drop of the sapphire emperor" that about it in nutshell

Tip: poison smog deal pretty good damage to safi

To be fair the music are distacting when you convert to word based on what you hear.

You can turn down the in-gmae music volume it it's distracting.
Pretty much what the others are saying is true.
This is a practice run to see how well you hold up against Safi'jiva. Like, just go in with the palico, and figure out how to avoid her attacks while still doing damage.
If you can pass the recon on your own, then you are ready for the sieges - where you actually kill her.
