How does this game run on a GTX 1060 6GB?
I currently have the PS4 version but I didn't really get too far and I want to switch to PC since I play PC a lot more, but I heard there was some issues with this games port and I was wondering if it's possible to get 60fps in this game with my setup.
My Setup
Ryzen 5 3600
GTX 1060 6GB
16GB DDR4 RAM
500gb SSD

I used to have a 1060 3GB pre iceborne, and I have to mix low - medium settings to make it playable. Fps still tanks a lot on kushala fights though

I think you can safely use medium and get 60fps

Please don't take my full word for it, I think some tech youtubers still use mhw as a benchmark. You might want to check hardwareunboxed as a starter

I have the same GPU, only difference is the CPU. Mine is i7 7700HQ which is a laptop version.

Mine can run high setting 60 fps with high res texture, with some turned off/low. Casual dips to 40s during battle which is still playable
Have almost the same setting except i have Ryzen 7 and GTX 1060Ti 6GB.
I can run stable 100-110fps pre iceborne but now about 70-80fps.
Still higher than 60fps

Running stable anytime at 60 FPS here with Ryzen 5 - 1600 and Inno3D GTX 1060 compact edition 6 GB (the small one with only 2 fans), Ram 16 GB 2400 DDR4.

Setting is low-medium (prioritize resolution) on full screen 1360 x 768 screen and having browsers/discord/etc running on behind.

I could go up to high or even ultra with unlocked fps. Still stable when exploring Astera and Seliana or fighting small monsters dips down to 60s. But due to my screen resolution, there is little differences can be spotted and lag spikes starts happening there during heavy combats (eg: the comet falls in Safi).

I have exact same spec except for the cpu, with full HD resolution and medium graphic setting, i get 60-100 fps overall

i have a gtx 1660 super and a amd ryzen 5 1600 (i think the old version) and i play at 1080p and the highest settings with average 70fps

not mine though, my net cafe use 1060 6gb, 16 ram, i5(dont know which gen)

highest no HD texture
144 fps (msi monitor) rarely go down near 120,
1080p DP

last time i play last month or safi im forget, before my place got lockdown.

now im play with 1050ti 4gb, i7 8gen, 16gbram

60 fps, low/mid (i can play high but i dont think its wise on future plan of my laptop).
1080p

last play a few minutes ago.

so thats your data hope it useful

You won't have any problem to run the game with 1060 6GB as long as you don't run it with max settings.

I used to run the game with a I7-8700k + 1070Ti + 16GB RAM, with max settings, 1080p and i had around 70fps pre-iceborne with some dps loss on fights like kushala or teostra. On iceborne i had 50-60 fps. It was possible to play with HD textures pack, but at hoarfrost reach the game was laggy when fighting a monster there.

It's fixed now that i have a 2080 SUPER, i have around 100-110 fps with max settings + HD textures pack, on 1080p.

What FPS will I get with an i7-4770k and 2060 Super at all 2560 x 1440?

As a comparison, i've got a Ryzen 5 2600, 16GB of 3200Mhz CL16 RAM and a GTX 1060 6GB at stock clocks, latest, clean install of the NVIDIA drivers. The requirements on the store page are actually for "30FPS@1080p Low" and "30FPS@1080p high" respectively, which they disclose to be fair.

99% 60FPS@1080p is not possible, even in dx12 mode with draw distance and volumetric fog all the way down, using TXAA and foliage sway. The latter can be turned off for quite a performance boost, but at that point, the game looks worse than on PS4. DoF also has a noticable effect on performance, even if it's not visibly doing enything. The bottleneck is definitely the GPU. I'm sitting at 60FPS 70% of the time, exploring with dips all the way to the 40's up to 55FPS depending where on the map i am. In combat, 60FPS is just not going to happen at 1080p. That's playing solo, mind you.

I'm currently playing with the resolution scaling at medium, which afaik is 90% of your current resolution (looks a bit like the screen is smeared with vaseline in conjunction with TXAA or FXAA). That way, you can play at a lower resolution, but your UI scaling stays intact. You can also set it to be dynamic, so your resolution scales down only in more intensive moments.

I've also set volumetric fog and draw distance to low. Foliage sway on, TXAA for anti-aliasing and DoF on. Any other graphic's setting has barely any or no effect on performance. This results in 60FPS almost the entire time, except for when there are unusually high amounts of particle effects (e.g. hitting a large monster and several smaller ones at the same time with a LS R2).

I dont know.
With a 2060 Super or even 2060, you're supposed to be comfortable with all games on 1080p. I don't know for 1440p to be honest since i've never played above 1080p.

i got R5 1600 + RTX 2060 super..
1440p on highest setting no HD texture(stutter not worth it) its 40-50fps
1080p for some reason is the same if i played on the 1440p 144hz monitor
but if i played on 1080p monitor its stable around 60ish
just now for no apparent reason when i start the game, its stable around 120fps 1440p,but after restarting the game it drop down to 40-50 fps again

the game is a mess after IB update, its going to melt your cpu more than your gpu with how capcom added stupid anti cheat that mess with anti virus/windows defender hence eating your fps
oh and add denuvo on top of that,if only we can only run the game without added stupid overhead

1060 GTX and i5 7600K lets me run max settings without fps drops
I can't speak for Iceborne
Ograus Apr 18, 2020 @ 4:50pm
see no problems for 1920x1080 maxing most options with a 6(!)gb 1060
volumetrics/volume rendering quality seems to be a performance killer so
best to not that
i suggest to shut of depth of field(dof) and motion blur too
