Concerns about RNG in this game
I've barely played any MH before so I don't know if things were better with the previous gens MHW is my first entry to the series and I'm liking it so far but also concerned with the RNGs in this game - Why cant there be a more sensible and creative approach to how material drops are being handled in this game? Like a unique hunting goal that players need to achieve for each and every large monsters for their rarest materials to be harvested. Make it hard make it tedious I don't care, but why subject players to this form of RNG hell that will inevitably sabotage the overall game experience? As for RNG hell I'm talking about 1-2% drop rate/ 16% with gold investigation reward, that's some gacha level drop rate right there. How are people tolerating anything gacha-like on this platform?

I'm looking forward to the WIld release but this also makes me worrying about the future for that game after seeing what Capcom has done with DD2, It's not hard to predict there're gonna tons of microtransactions in Wild. Capcom will sell melting tickets as microtransaction I'm calling it right now and people are not gonna like it.

You've never seen gacha drop rates before, have you? There's a reason gacha games have pity systems that only kick in after spending hundreds of dollars or several weeks of farming for a single rare.

I did in fact played some gacha games and I really prefer not have to put in the same amount of grind into something I paid money for consider there's not even a pity system here.

Gacha games are meant to be sarcasm here. The point being they obviously had better options, why settled for the worse? To max out shareholders value?

To start, gacha games have literally 100x lower rates than the worst rates in MonHun.

And World has a pity system thanks to the Elder Melder, with the only rare item that can't be melded being the rare drop from the literal final boss, and his drop can be guaranteed with head breaks.

ya, i see more and more MTX coming into Monster hunter now that the floodgates have opened and people are buying them.

it adds replayability to the game if you have to hunt for that 1 or 2% drop chance item (reactor cores)

new age monster hunters need replayability cuz the old ones offer 1k+ hours before expansions, this one I finished everything in a little over 100 hours through both the base game and expansion. Hopefully they will add more content in wild, instead of more MTX.

Save editors exist if you are no longer having fun trying to get a certain drop

Even with those drop rates you still get everything to build any set in 3-5 hunts.

16% for rarest items not even bad...

when you grinding you still winning anyways many good reward
also gacha even getting like 20 pulls of anything will take you a week
monster hunter you are pulling EVERY HUNT

not like stupid gacha 3 star food rewards shove down throat bust wallet out BS:ccskull:

Let's just say I wish to see them add more game to the actual gameplay loop for endgame grind instead of turning it into a dice rolling slot machine with melding being the pity system. I could see why people are fine with the grinding because hunting itself is fun and no two hunts are the same. With that being said, this loot drop system MH currently has is way too susceptible to not getting exploited on& turning into a cash grabbing scheme, neither is 16% drop rate statistically designed to let you off the hook within 3-5 hunts. This might be a hunch but I think Capcom is slowly turning MH into a live service game just to implement the microtransaction, there's gonna be MTX for melding system for sure and for even some of the Qol features to boost the drop rate and such. Save editor will be good as gone thanks to more DRM/ Anti-cheats. Every hunters' worst nightmare.

not only that some gatcha game limits you from obtaining that XYZ materials . unless you pay.

while in monster hunter game you can obtain it by just investing some time there is no pay wall.

OP want get all resourses from one hunt or I missed something?

Investigation drop boxes are non exist in past game and non exist in Rise - next entry from portable line.
Melder allow you to replicate most rare resource for tickets which always was free to get. After game support was done, now you can get even more of this tickets.
Some materials have specific drop restrictions: you need to break specific monster part to get or increase chances - this is directly what you talked about when ask for more sensitive and creative way.

Actually, I'm see 'I did not get %ResourceName% after one/two kills' here.
